Looking good! I'll try to post up the map soon. Additionally, I've closed the old thread as this one can have the playlist in the first post, but it makes no sense having 2 threads for the same thing. Discuss anything to do with AC7 here.

well from what is seen they are only playing US licensed anime. you wont see naruto or scrapped princess cause they arent licensed for US distribution. in fact i wonder if they will every have licensed japanese anime at animecity? sadly it isnt as glitsy for me (i have most of what their showing at my personal disposal) but i maybe in the country by then so i guess ill attend if not to kick some arse at the MTG display.

Praise the man above for a better playlist than AC6. I shall be at the Main Hall Screen 3 for a good part of the day, except for the fanboys' favorite anime. I hope I am just as lucky as Sideswipe in AC6.
Read Or Die should prove to be an interesting anime to watch.

Sorry, I really could not put it up like I wanted to. However, the directions are as follows:

Turn off at Trincity and go past Trincity Mall and Caribbean Cinemas 8. Keep going until you reach the second road on your right I believe it is. In any case, it's called College Avenue. As you go along that, you come to a large cream building - that's Bishops/Trinity East High School, and that's where AC7 is. Have fun guys, I'll be there a little later on! :)

the first thing that hit me when i got there was "there's no ddr??!!" i fumbled around the whole place for a hour in a blank daze, hoping that around the next corner, i'd see a pad, any pad. when i got over that, the anime was good, much better than ac6. so that placated me for the stay. Read or Die was really cool, and the batman movie was good, although i figured it out pretty early on. oh well.

so although, i didn't get to play ddr for the 6 straight hours that i hoped, and the failed promise of 3 pads is still niggling in my mind, it was all in all a good show. let's just hope they bring back the pads for the next time

Let's keep hoping for that Tiny! Okay, the first thing to hit me was before I even got there. After I passedd Trincity Mall, there was a big fat roundabout that was never there before. Where did that thing come from, and when did it go in? Well, that threw my bearings off for a sec, but oh well. Read or Die was great. So was the Batman movie, although I have to say - it wasn't anime! Small ting, was still enjoyable. Had to watch this Mr. Tiny in a lost daze because of no DDR. Oh well. The best part though, was the fact that it was back at Bishops Trinity East. It's a great location, and I hope that they keep it there until an even better venue comes up. Nice and big. The air condition wasn't stifled out by the number of people there. The space was large and cool enough that it didn't smell like sweat. The screens were nicely spaced out and the image quality was nice and crisp. The venue is great now, so they should start working on the content, as in what else can they do besides show anime?

The no DDR thing was a surprise to me also. I met a couple of people who were asking me where the DDR was going to be. The anime was much better this time around, although I was disappointed with the fact that there was one less favourites screen(AC7 minus Akira,Bastard,Perfect Blue and some others). I remember being in the favourites room for about 4 to 5 hours straight.

Hot "food" was actually served this time around. Could it be the welcome return to Bishop's/Trinity East that caused this...who knows. The only actual downside other than the loss of a favourites screen, was the fact that I missed Read Or Die,which I was really anxious to see.

The e-mail that Genesis sent to everyone suggested that AC7 might have been the last AC. Naturally,I thought that they would have made some kind of effort to include something original, which would capture an audience without much exposure. Well, this was not the case. Should Genesis be able to hold more AC events,I think that they should have booths set up with computers, showing behind the scenes footage of the directors' takes on various anime and the making of anime in general. This will not include OVAs,but just various anime series,so that people may have some sort of understanding as to what they're watching when OVAs such as End Of Evangelion are shown. The booths could also show some sort of presentation about the origin of anime and what it has become today.
Just a suggestion,but it's something.

Let us hope that there are other AC events in the future.
In the name of God,impure souls of the living dead shall be banished into eternal damnation.Amen.

That's an excellent idea Akira! The only problem is putting enough of those booths up so they don't become overcrowded and still keep the cost down. Last I heard, AC7 is not going to be the last AC after all, but they will keep it at around 2 shows per year. I think that's a very god idea that you should spring to Hafeez and see what he thinks.
