well i came here asking for a challenge and all i get is a man dissing my game name.

- i see Crixx is a moderator and all that, is that how your staff will treat someone coming here looking for a friendly challenge.

I decided to post this challenge, cuz i am training for Cal Season 4 which i will be taking part with a europe/american based clan.
Narutomania Anbu Squad ... Hence the NmA.

How do you expect to grow if you treat Outsiders like this?

Crixx behaviour as a mod throws a bad light on the organisation.

a little harmless picong.

That is all.

These sort of things take time (drumming up support for players on a game server)

Don't expect a rush of players just cause you made a post.

Personally I don't have a clue who you are nor would most of the membership I'd imagine.

Try to get involved in the community first. Visit some GLs, introduce yourself. That kind of thing.

A much better response is guaranteed.

I would visit GLs but i work full time, plus furthering my degrees on my own time. I only get my chance to game online. The server i posted up I PAY FOR IT. And thats where i sweat. Becuase of work and other stuff, I am mainly an Online Gamer, suffering with Tstt Dsl but its the best available and i make do with it. It barely hampers my online gaming cuz i dont let it. If i play in lag, i wont blame that, i just get better @ playing in lag.

I see a lot of threads here on this section with limit responses and some of them are pretty old. So going with the trend, i doubt i would get a response if i havent gotten one already.

well you aren't alone in that equation.

but even working people doing a degree can find time to get out of the house.

So that excuse won't fly.

It is easy to sit on the throne at home and wait for the good gaming to just fly in via dsl.

If that is all that you want, try an MMORPG.

If you are interested in competitive FPS gameplay, then you will need to have some folks rallying around you.

That will take community involvement and ultimately, a few trips to GLs to drum up support for it.

If the server works great we could even make it a "gatt official" server and advertise it to everyone that comes on the site via a banner or such.

These things take some effort, that is all.

A quick "cheap" post won't score you the results.

A lesson most of us learned over the years.

Apologies if I come across a bit condescending. It's a bad habit. lol

people say i am a workaholic, I love my work and i tend to give myself 200% to whatever i am doing. Therefore, my social life has taken a plunge. I know this, a lot of my friends have shown me this and i tell them so what... i dont feel the need to go out with them. For i dont drink anymore and i am not in the mood to party. The period that grace my house is the normal sleeping hours for most ppl. 11pm till 7 am. In that time i get my gaming on, my sleep and then get up to get ready and reach to work for 8. I dont got the time to visit the gls. I have made time before, but i was met with a lot of jokey gamers. I dont like to waste my time when there is other things to do.

If you want you can test out my server
63.211.110.94:27015

You will however need Legit Counter Strike : Source... Steam and all the works to be able to connect to the server. That i know maybe a limiting factor for a lot of local gamers. But i paid my money for my legit copy of source and also i am paying 30us a mth for my server. I work for my money and save my money, If there is a game out there that i am really interested in, i will support it by buying an original copy of it.

I hear what you are saying.

but building the very gaming community you wish to patronise your server should not be considered a waste of time.

A GL may have 100 jokey gamers that visit it regularly.

10 that aren't.

Those 10 would be worth the while.

Finding them won't be the easy part but then who ever said life was going to be easy.

Some people would go so far as to even buy legit copies of the game and pass it on to encourage players to get involved.

my work dont pay that much, right now i am paying for dsl, phone, current and cable bills.  Plus just bought my new rig. But i have still managed to have bought 2 extra copies of Cs:Source to 2 frens of mine who i sweat with online and one of them irl. But atm Cs:Source is only 20 US. Thats 123$TT. Organise with someone with a credit card that can buy it off steam site. www.steampowered.com. One of the most online sweated pc fps @ $123TT. That cheaper than an original music cd.

yu must have thin skin to think i was trying to dis you man.
INfact i was posting in your thread in hopes others would respond since iam a mod and well known on the boards.

Your description of yur life and your time sounds exactly like my life and that of baego and alot of other gamers.

And i have actually switched around and sacrificed 90% of my online gaming life, and replaced it with gl gaming.

That 10 percent i reserve for guild wars and online dota.

Every thing you have said you are doing and have done and are going through, ive done the same and i have no balance, my life is work, study and gaming thats it.

I credit you for doing it the legit way and kudos, but yu said it yourself, that will be a limiting factor for alot of trinidad gamers.

So to circumvent that, you may wanna visit the gls and start up the counter strike sweats to drum up the fan fare, until such a time as men start purchasing their cs games.

Last year back in euro, cs really took off and we were really enjoying it as the number 1 fps in the cafe for a good while.

This year dota really has our attention and counter strike and cod and bf are probably the only fps that could turn our heads away.

We stopped sweating sof becuase of bf, we stopped swweatng bf cause of dota and we play cod rarely, when we get a challenge.

Usually from the fantasy v yuppies who still need to face the warriors of the village and not the women children and livestock of the hidden village.

Cool man,  No hard feelings... was a bit fustrated recently. But things cool now.
Imho 20US is not a big amt of money to put out to get CS.
Also i played CS in a cafe in the west sometime during the year... i think its the one in luis st. Was getting 20 frames while in game. It hurt my eye, for i get max frames (300) while in a game with one other person and for a full match abt 75+ fps when in battle, Thats on my rig. It hurts to see 20 fps and it fustrates me. There is one thing with online lag, i can work around. But for Pc Frame Lag aka Framining , its so messed up.

True.

Not everyone has a rig that could run cs source smoothly. That makes finding the people that can run it well all the more precious an activity.

Stick to your guns a bit and keep pushing for local involvement. That's what we are here for. To facilitate that sort of stuff.

Just keep in mind, it won't be an overnight development.

If you do get a chance, check out HQ. Let us put a face to the callsign. Then we can do some more things like banner ads for the server and such. We could hook it up with a nice name, tweetycs.carigamers.com or so using our dns servers.

The cs server will have to keep the NmA name.. cant change that.  I see ah clan called [Trini] making a challenge to ppl. I think Bushman is thier leader.
