Japanese magazine Weekly Famitsu revealed a new title today, Namco x Capcom, which will be a joint project between, yup, you guessed it, Namco and Capcom. However, it is being developed by Monolith Soft, developers of Xenosaga and Baten Kaitos. Wait, an RPG developer working on a dream fighter? Well, hate to break it to ya, but no Heihachi vs. Akuma here. This will be a strategy RPG that features characters from a wide range of series. The game world is in 3D, but the battles are 2D with anime-style sequences. The story revolves around a time/space continuum tear or something crazy like that where characters from different universes are popping up.

...sounds pretty interesting.
However, I really, REALLY hope that Capcom wisens up this time and inserts Dante into the game, instead of some poser who looks like him (like they were planning to do in Capcom All Stars). Fans have been asking for him for EONS, from Marvel vs. Capcom 2 upwards, and each and every crossover that occurs, Devil May Cry fans get the shaft. WHY?

By 'getting the shaft', I mean Devil May Cry fans are getting screwed, ShinSagat. As in, Capcom did NOT put Dante in their crossover games.

I know lol i am just poking fun at Leo instead of dante (an even kenji) in Capcom fighting evolution. I am sorry for d inside joke. I was pissed by his cameo in the ending for one of d dark stalkers.
