Guild Wars *free* preview this weekend...

If anyone is interested in trying Guild Wars, the excellent MMORPG that I was raving about earlier this year, Arenanet will be hosting another "world preview event" from the 29-31 October.

The client's about 65K, but it auto updates upon activation. The primary update is about 8 megs, and you can expect a bit more when the event actually begins.
 
I recommend this game very highly.

this game looked EXTRA slick. Sweet graphics and gameplay. I saw Shizz playing this and it ran surprisingly well for such a thin client. Updating on the fly over the net.

A bandwidth eater no doubt but worth it. Also, it didn't seem to be a money/time killer like lineage. You can still get your game on without having to slave over it incessantly. No monthly fees last I heard.

beta went like a dream and it will work on dial up!

just get a copy of the game folder from a padner near you.

Mine is 500mb, that will save you some serious download time leaving more for suhuweatage!!!!!!!!!

well all i can say is....i AM HOOKED....after playing last sunday...

weekend @ 4 all i can say is i goin be sweating guild wars to the

btw the beta ends in a very special way.....next one play till 4 am on sunday

january 8th i believe ....wateva is the first weekend in the month and you

once you buy the game or have a key code that is the only cost....

there are no monthly fees like EQ 2 and WoW

thats a rumour. de game is free and there is no planning for any future expantions yet.
