lol warcraft gonna die I am one always for warcraft but in gamin whever somethings comes out and does what u did better and more advanced yuh probably gonne lose.. a good run and it still have my vote but the old wither and the young take its place

Warcraft is better than Warhammer.  I've played both , I like both but in terms of STRATEGY  Warcraft beats out Warhammer, something about micro management as opposed to massing units.

well is a poll in the year 2004 and the only current RTS with any real presence at the GLs are Generals and Warcraft 3.

Starcraft is still played but seriously less so judging from the figures in Cybercafe pro @ SnS and Euro. HQ will agree I am certain.

The only real contenders to RTS sweatage nowadays are Generals and WC3.

The new kid on the block is WarHammer Dawn of War.

It's seeds are only now beginning to shoot and yet already we are seeing heated responses to it. Awesome game!!

I have played both wc3, starcraft, generals and warhammer, serious RTS veteran immc and let me tell you, WarHammer ownz!!!

Can't wait for the expansion.

RB, obviously you haven't played the game more than 5 times to make such a statement about strategy. Have you used all the races? Do you know how to play edlar?

I have watched replays from the top seeded ladder players and games end with one only having 8 units on the map.  No mass. Just talant.

It all depends on the map and the races you play. Just as in most any other RTS on the planet. The population limit in Warhammer is low so you can only go so far with massing before you hit the ceiling, at that point, it's all about strategy, upgrades, choice of weapons, etc..

This game is like starcraft in 3d with more aggressive play encouraged.

Well can u? The Seers council  I have to say in its entity is the baddest close range combat you can see in any strategy game. WC is no contest.
Though admittedly I like WC...I mean come plp Warhammer.....

i've heard this before. the "micro" thing. i'm almost done my warhammer mod that will fix that. instead of units coming out as a squad, eg: space marine, you get 4. they will come out 1 by 1. that way all the micro is there. from all the reviews i see from serious wc3 players, and people who just hate the game because they is hardcore blizzard fans etc, that was their main point, the micro thing.

If a unit is low on life and you wanna bring that unit back the whole squad moves. thats their complaint. I guess they dont know about reinforcements or something, oh well, the mod i making go fix that. i would like to see their opinion after playing my mod. btw the mod is almost out of beta , expect a release by sunday latest.
