i didnt support the changes to the storyline and the additions at first but they are quite inventive

and the effects were interesting.

It's become a convoluted mess. But that's just my opinion.

Now Lana have powers...there goes the whole tone of that relationship. Lemme guess...she's destined to stop Kal-El.

The flying effect definitely looked cool but it was far from brilliant. Just a made-for-TV Matrix Reloaded imitation.

I liked this series most when it focused primarily on the more personal relations between the characters. When the ramifications of the superpowers and battles were more important than the battles themselves.
Now with all this mystical madness and globe-trotting, resurrecting, canon-raping indulgence, I think I'll take two steps back.

i used to watch this show regularly as well but not anymore because in my opinion the series is way too dramatic, everybody have superpowers and doing this thing to somebody....

i am with this dude. i could never feel this show for a few reasons, ALL SHOWS on WB11 feel the same. ALL!!!!  they are all watered down and EXTREMELY DRAMATIC.

they would always cop out on some stupid cliff hanger to bring you back for the next episode.

i thought the show was about SMALLVILLE, it seems like superville to me.

Lionel Luther is annoying, kinda like that dude from X- files. the smoking dude who was behind  EVERYTHING, reminds me of Xanatos from that old cartoon 'Gargoyles' too. If Clarck were to wake up with hemroids, that would prolly be the doing of Lionel too.

I saw an episode where some chick was controlling bees. Oh come on i mean n199a please?!!!!!!

too much crap between Kal- El and Jor- El. a damn space ship loaded with dialogue wow. maybe if i had one of these i would have been a more stable individual. A spaceship in place of a father.... Hmmmmm......... *rubs chin*

i remember the story of where clark's parents loved him and they sent him to earth to live, now his father evil and trying to take him over...
the story jus kepps changing....and did i jus hear someone say black kryptonite..?

naw bastard, there always was red kryptonite. what it does in this show, i dont know, but in the original story it would trade superman's powers to anyone whoe held it and touched him.

thats not what red kryptonite ever did.

There have been many "original stories" for superman, because they have changed his history a few time.

Post Crisis on infinite earth, red kryptonite has a few different effects on kryptonians , but what it mainly does is make superman apathetic.


This black kryptonite is a complete mystery to me as if said.
THe closes thing to black kryptonite, is blue kryptonite which has the same effect as green kryptonite but only on bizzaro world characters.

So i believe that what they were trying to do , is say that  kal el is a bizzaro form of Clark so thats why hes affected by it and Clark isnt

he was exposed to this in Superman 3? but all they did was replace one element/compound with tar and it was still green
