people people people. as much as i love a good story and kick ass role play, we need some sort of format. so here are some of my suggestions. feel free to add your own.

1 only a certain number of characters should be allowed then ther will be a cut off point.

2 there should variety in the way you intro your chracters.
(not everybody can appear out of the shadows with a bit cape.)

3 all persons actively envolved in astory have the right to bow out gracefully when ever they feel the need to do so.

4 everybody cannot have the same powers. 1 of each please!

5 originality is good! remember that!

6 the most important of them all NO SPAMMING!

So let the games begin!

geez girl i thought u would wait on me b4 startin this, i was waitin on you!

have someone come up with an outline and then start a thread and give their requirements for characters.

in terms of "powers" i think it should be something like...ONE seer/prophet, ONE mage/wizard/sorceress two maybe but they must differ or range widely enough, there are usually several warriors but their skills must also have variety...ONE god/godess (speaking on my own behalf in case i take part as Amaya again, but if someone else beats me to it oh well my tuff luck)
i just think in general the story needed characters with a wider variety of skills, each to his OWN rather than fove people with "sight", twenty warriors and fifty healers etc

whatever else, but please nothing to do with people battling with some sort of robot, monster or toy. Pokemon, digimon, beyblades, yugioh, medabots, monster rancher... the list goes on. none of that please. Enough already!

OH! and no more POINTLESS FREAKIN BATTLES

in the last story, demon creatures jumped out of nowhere for no reason other than for us to fight them every two steps we took, i dont think we could even settle down to SLEEP without having to kill bad things first...geez!

forgive me but i'm a bit confused... if it's a story then why would you realy careabout the mindless battles? those are only supposed to be there for the dramatic efect... what about the realy interesting parts... like love triangles and the torn emotions of the stars sending them careening into a state of diluted insanity causing them to turn EVIL!!... but only temporarily until the sappy power of love comes in bad guy turns good again and kicks everybodies ass... or dies... which ever way

Things getting more complicated yes there should be a more in depth discussion. Maybe participants should meet at the irc channel to discuss the parameters to be followed. I would like to think my last charavter was unique, noone had the same powers and what not

agreed laertes....okay kewl polios

make profiles for your characters: physical appearance, general mental characteristics, powers and special abilities, brief history, that sorta thing and be sure to include all the essential bits of the characters life.
these will be the guidelines by which you use him/her/it and you CANNOT cross it, so unless "giant sword blaster" or "seer" is included in this profile, there will be no sudden outbursts of "i see so and so" when your character is a warrior with a giant cutlass, for example. and this will let the others know the boundaries and personality of your character so that, wel...so that he/she/it can stay IN character as for example in the last story, Amaya did a LARGE number of things not quite like her.

oh yeah the step from the shadows and all dem other anime cliches are gettin old be original i get fed up and stop reading the old one jus fuh dat cause all the characters come from the shadows and wha fight to staay with the female wha ever happen to the coloured person always die first or sumthin

but q have a serious point people, think up some entrances for your characters, and hell...nothin wrong with walkin up to the others and sayin "aye how yuh goin?" (doh tak that too literally eh)
d fancy shmancy thing gettin old
and also....either keep it one...ONE (and only if it is a MUST) "fight for the female"
preferably NONE!

i tellin yuh goddes in the first story when they hear a noise in d forest all ah dem fight down tostay and protect the female i think is ne person get fed up and say he go go and he purposely mention that the nex guy woulda accompany him so the nex one who was fighting to stay get tie up and went ah nex ting tooo doh go hentai on we dis rounds

well we could have slight humour in it lil mills and boon comedic cliches are kinda aight jus make it interestin to read yuh go eventuallyuh get fed up reading d same tin over and over and a nex ting why all the characters have to survive kill at least one of yuh characters without them reusing a resurection pack or a medi pack and come up with a nex character to join d story

jus remember if a white character dies then everybody go know sumthin wrong coloured ppl die first it is mandotory
