Street fighter II is truly a classic with every boy of the 90's. remember running out the school yard to get to the local corner store to watch the big kids play.

Actually, they're not referring to the number of hits.
The symbol on Akuma's back represents the number ten, and that saying probably originated from the fact that it appears after Akuma does his Raging Demon.

..and yes, I -DO- know that the symbol also means 'Heaven'. The symbol can mean either, so, I guess that's where 'ten commandments' came about.

NEO, the people at the arcades who say "ten commandments" really don't know the symbol means ten.  I mean, think about it.  This is Trinidad man, ain't nobody gonna research CRAP!!!!!  I believe that talk originated out of how gothic the move looks and the number of hits.  I know its not 10 but its close enough.  And weren't there SF games that Shun Goku Satsu was 13 hits?  Alpha and the EX series I believe.

Too true. I've lost count at just HOW many people have abused that 'I go deal with dat' line. (Myself included.)

With regards to the Raging Demon, the Alpha series itself described the Raging Demon as a 15 hit super. The EX series, on the other hand, only go up to 13.

No, I'm not. Then Imperial and anybody after him wouldn't have responded. But I digress.

To tell you the truth, I can't really recall the last time people referred to a projectile as 'Water'. Last I heard, people only calling it 'magic' now, for nearly EVERYTHING, once it's a Quarter-circle forward.

...that's another thing...why do we say 'wring'? We aren't exactly throttling the machine to death or hanging it out to dry.....
