back on topic...storywise - the manga now start to get interesting.. its somewhat..petty throughout, but we'll see

yeah FLCL owned! and lain was excellent!! but i guess to each his own.
the manga so far ( i read the 1st volume, downloading the first 10) has a very dynamic modern style which the anime follows to the letter.

basically, the synopsis (so far) is that the high school, which is the main focus of the series, is reviving martial arts by teaching different styles to talented youngsters. the main characters are part of a school team, and the students are separated by year. the oldest students have some kind of authoritatian power structure where they punish other students to keep them in line. the existing team of sisters natsume aya(babe) and maya(midget who transforms into total babe), and a boy called takanyagi(ki powers dude) have their lives changed when 2 new 'bad boys', souichiro and bob(black dude) come to take over the school. they had no clue that anybody could be stronger than them, until having their asses whooped. teamwork, friendship, crushes, hilarity and alot of beatdown ensue.

After seeing a few episodes of this anime im convinced its bad ass but im, a ninja thru and thru so its naruto all the way.

Ps That Bob character does remind me of me a few years ago. Trying to mix capoeira with karate , the dred locks its like looking in mirror from the past man.
