well that's the thing Dax, for most of these things to be realised, we need a few people who will "guarantee" to be there.

nice points smurf. We have already partnered with another gaming association on the island. They are fall under the carigamers initiative so keeping the efforts concerted together will help the region become the best in gaming in the world!

Baego this is alwaws a problem in Trinidad, most associations run on the backs of 2 or 3 people......You must put together a committee of at least 5 to 10 serious people with specific objectives and goals. You must meet at least twice a month and things will start moving FORWARD.

It's time to stop talking and start acting,  this will encourage more gamers and help bring in more $$$$$$$ to the various GL's

GATT was founded with 10 Core members and now the administration is about 20+
Keeps growing all the time.

The GLs have seen very strong numbers thanks to our efforts these past few years and we will continue to strive to make our locations succesful.

Positiveness

Threads like this are especially to help get more people involved in sharing ideas and aiding towards that goal.

Though going International is good we need too see our National Gaming Community heading foremost in that that direction and negotiate with sponsors. We must be invited too participate in International tournaments by the year 2005 our all this talk was for nought!

Love the points. But, we must keep it simple and one step at a time else we may slip and fall right back down too our casual sweat nights, when we could be cheering our peolpe on an International level.

we need men to be regularly involved in sweatage, on the forums and at tournys

clan participation is falling on the wayside, things are a bit too casual for us to go international yet

once participation levels are high enough and more importantly constant it would be easier to get sponsership for events

basically speaking we need allyuh to come and have serious sweatage as much as possible

it is difficult for a clan to play together given the demand for machines @ GLs. You can't just waltz in and get 10 machines for you and your squad to play against another clan.

It's just not practical and hence why it doesn't happen often. The only time clans ever really sit down to duke it out is for tournaments and that's only because the machines are reserved and the administration forces the issue by asking for teams by clans.

Jade Falcon is the only squad that consistently gets to sit together and play together and they manage that by coming 90% BYOC. Machines and Auto Mobiles idmc.

Not to put a damper on your point, but that's the reality of it.

Also, not too long ago, a guy reserved and payed for 10 machines for some clan action @ euro @ sweat. Big uproar, because other members couldn't get to play and do their thing. Instead, these 10 men sit down to play whatever game they decided on, starcraft, tetris, savage, etc..

Fun for them I'm sure, sourness for the rest of the membership not aligned with their taste in gaming at the moment.

A possible solution is the league that was mentioned earlier that would encourage constant tourney style events all through the year, maybe on a sunday with machines reserved for same, so the clans will have more opportunity to play together without trampling on the toes of everyone else who just wanna have liberal fun and r&r.

 if u want money add some advertisments..... if u want less users kill all accounts older than 1 year.. and make the signup longer and more frustrating with a few crash bugs and stuff...

the pay system could be used for greater administration over gatt, as well as being able to implement some gatt goodies, such as dog tags and being able to set up a tracking system gl wide that will allow for ranking  and increase the fervor of gattage at sweats.

like right now, i trying hella hard to beat arch angel score on pacman!!!
that man is ah beast!
and if it wasnt for the game tracking his score and having him ranked as number one, i might only play de game once or twice.

If anything, more fighting game tournaments and/or sweats at a reasonable time would be nice.

Either that, or some soft-serve ice cream and Toaster Strudel down at Euro. Gotta love the Toaster Strudel, man....

I believe a serious compromise can be made. There will always be those who won't want to pay for anything. Freeloaders. They are gamers nonetheless and we would like to kick their asses just the same. So free membership idmc.

However, there are those who want to take their game higher and don't mind paying for that priviledge. For them we could have premium membership. Accounts @ GLs, bonus hours, sweat discount, t-shirts, tracking of their performances @ tournaments, email address, web space, etc... Nuff perks idmc and have them play a more active roll in administration if they so choose.

Baego this is a must, it will bring together the best, hard core serious gamers and these can make up an International TriniClan to go out and represent Trinidad......Sponsors like to se organised associations and one that can field a National Team could get backing.
