they must have been scared away by far cry...

well.. halo was delayed for longer.... if its not worth the wait... i won't buy the full version .

At least when it comes out we can be sure the game IS NOT laggy .

and i would probably have a 9800 pro by then...

Dammit another push back. I'm not surprised, but I actually hoped they would've released it this year. Anyway, hopefully they will release it when I get my new system so all the better. Why are they intimidated by FarCry? Isn't their engine suppose to be much stronger than that? And by the time that game is released we might be up to the Geforce 8950 and Radeon 12000. Is like they want to keep upgrading the game in their lab when they could just release it and make patches available. We can live with that, but no they want it to be groundbreaking even though the videos and pictures show that it already is.

Honestly, I feel they game just aint finish period, and they just announcing dates so they can hold onto the hype until it actually finish. Just do like Id and say when it's finished it's finished, all dat good enough for me because d false dates startin to get annoyin. As u say trini I might end up not paying for the game because of all the push backs.

That's neither official nor true.

There's been no announcement regarding the release date of the game.

There was this thread on a gaming forum though.

It was based on some magazine interview from last year.

Like Kayode said, this is only speculation at this point, nothing official has been said on the matter. They simply said that if they had to do so, they wouldn't think twice about it. And if they had to sink another $20 million into the project, they would.

I agree with supreme tho, best they had just do like Id, when it done, it done.

i got this info from several game sites [ including GATT] . FarCry's engine is more advanced graphically, and has more advanced physics than what have been shown in the movies . Farcrys physics ARE SO POWERFUL DEAD BODIES DO NOT INTERECT! check up the producers site , crytek.com

It's just than they say hl2 can be delayed if needed and they would do it and spend more on it. Is just to hope they don't do a game that would never come out ie duke nukem 4ever.

come on .. we have been waiting for 6 YEARS ...... and no game has yet beaten half life at its own game... halo still feels like a half life clone even though the story is older..... FarCry is the closest thing up to now... Even though the graphics suck [ blu shift hi def pack helps ] the game will play on almost any pc on the planet... the multiplayer is the laggs less on higher pings than any other later game.

halo's story originally included dinosaurs.. helicopters and master chief able to use laser sword....... i beleive that when they saw half life's success they decided to kill dinosaurs and include.... zombies...

Is true they're aliens not zombies. But Halo and Half-Life actually feel very alike. Major difference is the time period of both games. Haven't played Far Cry yet and never totally finished W3D mostly due to the fact that I got tired of it really fast which is very rare.
