Well, so far, Tekken Tag is winning by a landslide....
Tekken 4 is just barely scraping by with a handful of votes.
The third survey is coming soon, but in the meantime, some replies:

Baego: I've never really delved too much into Tekken....my knowledge of it is fairly average, so, I'll have to take your word on it. Unfortunately, Tekken Tag and Tekken 4 are all that's available to me right now, and the majority seems to lie within the PS2 titles. Sorry bout that.

SamB!azing: That's fine and all, but if that's the case, why even bother replying?

like what baego said, tekken 3 is the best of all the tekken games.
but i think tekken 4 is worse than tag mainly because of the stupid changes they did on heihachi and i can no longer finish my air juggle with julia.

NEO yuh missin the real game

Tekken 3

Ghost and Mehself in a stalemate right now with both Tekken Tag and Tekken 4

What we need is a serious showdown to determine the true champion and decided our fate rests in the land of Tekken 3.

Boss game.

In that case Baego, the thorough beating u received yesterday in Tekken 3 would make me the one and only true master of tekken, though your skills are admirable...it cannot compare to my superior martial arts.

The standings as of yesterday are:
JR_Ghost 10.......Baego 2 (first challenge)
JR_Ghost 10.......Baego 3 (second challenge)

A true beating if i do say so myself..... Anyway Baego, the Tekken 3 you can keep for as long as u like but i may need the memory card back this week. Check meh if u copied it already and i'll pass for it sometime

Quote from: "Baego"
In Tekken 3 I have not seen or experience the horrendous juggle fest that I have come to know and hate in Tekken Tag.

I don't think Namco had it in mind that the game was meant to be played horizontally.

Hence reducing the damage done by juggles considerably in Tekken4 and Soul Calibur2.

It's a "way cool" factor..but lawd, how embarassing for the other combatant. Beaten to a pulp without any recourse whatsoever.

That's not a fight....that's a BEATING!!!!

One slip and you're being parlayed with punches and kicks for the next 15 seconds.

This is not true for any Soul Calibur game.  Namco implemented a system called air control which allows you move in mid air after the first hit of a juggle connects.

This is used for the obvious cause of escaping juggles.  This is how SC maintains balance somewhat.  On the other hand, if you use this technique poorly you can end up taking more damage than if you hadn't used it at all.

The true test of a gamer is how he can adapt.I used to think like you.I actually swore off Tekken 3 cause I didn't like the changes from Tekken2.I realized later how silly such notions were and that the challenge is a good thing.
I didn't like the changes to Tekken 4 at first either but once I realized just how deadly Christie could be,well,I'm probably more dangerous now in Tekken 4 than I ever was in TTT or Tekken 3.

Well i know that if i take time to play it i'll start to like it more, but the thing is that tekken 3 was basically flawless and the only thing they really had to do to make t4 better was the interactions with the stages and improved graphics, basically what they did with paul and hawrang with a few minor changes. it sucks to see that some of my deadliest moves that i learned by myself can't be pulled off  in t4

The reason why T4 is better to me, after playing and analizeing T3 TTT and T4 for a while. I realized that t3 is much more balanced than Te and is a pretty balanced game. Most characters can hold their own. Secondly, ive played ttt for a while and it tends to get tired really fast as oposed to t4. One of the reasons is because it's just like T3, and don't even talk about that, there's just a handfull of characters and as exar said games clould end really fast with only 2 juggles real easy.

In analysing the situation really closely ive came to realize that t4 is a much more fun game expecially as its freasher and newer and has more aspects to gameply some which i havent even incorporated properly yet or don't use on a frequent basis. There are tons of wall push, wall setups wall Oki, Wall juggles, inclline and slope juggles, just to name a few. So the gameply is alot more versatile. I could go on and on as to why I much rather prefer T4 right now, but quite frankly... Idon't have the F-in time. So for me, my vote goes to T4.:clapr:

hahhahaha

the master has spoken.

good points xenos and exar.

Being able to adapt is important, I agree. The changes to Jin from Tekken 3 to Tekken 4 were very significant. Being a one trick pony, that put me in a real spot. Having to relearn the character....but it was fun and a challenge.

Now he ownz j00 all. (cept for bryan)

Luckily for us, we don't really have to choose...the PS2 plays all versions and we got 'em all. Tekken iwmc!!! My skills most current in Tekken 4,  buh say wha....suhuweat!!!!
