This is my first post from slackware and I'm feeling like I won an award or something. I was trying this for over a year, and finally!!!
Nitrate, the driver still limited the speed to 14.4k, bastard!! :P
But it moves just as slow in XP.
Little did they know that we're on a crappy ISP and it doesnt make a difference.
Well I'm gonna look for trillian for linux now...actually allota things for it.
Over and out.

Congratulations.

Trillian works if you use WINE, I think.  But before you do that, you should take a look at GAIM.  You now know more Slackware than me.  :)

Look at it this way, I sure don't see any other Linux certifications other than the Linux + all I've seen for Linux is the RHCT and RHCE, which are both Redhat certs. Linux + just proves you can run Linux. But I may be wrong, if I am then please notify me cause I'm needing many Linux certs.

A couple of points.

Bong, Red Hat produces certifications for its products.

There is also the SAIR and LPI certifications that you can check out.  The LPI is distribution-neutral.  Plus the Linux +.

Nitrate,

Red Hat is still very much alive.   What they have done is turned over their desktop product over to to a user community.  Fedora Core 1came out yesterday - it is what Red Hat 10 would have been, were Red Hat still doing desktop product.  Fedora Core releases will come out when the code is ready, rather than every six months.

So I installed Slackware yesterday (yeah, for Divali).
It was stress to install, LILO took out my MBR and didn't let XP back inside.
And it's stress to get it online.
But other than that, shweetness.

MUAHAHAHAHA!
Linux will NEVER let windows back in MUAHAHAHAHA!

Really though linux WILL NOT DIE if you install it right. For example install making most every directory directly branching off of root its own partiton(/home, /tmp, /var, /proc, so on and so forth). Believe me I tried once GRUB won't let go of the mbr either if you don't do it right. I never installed slack but HAVE done Solaris and I'm telling you it is much worse than any linux as far as being crytpic and arcane, c0d0s should be a cd right? NOPE a HDD.
