let me give you all the rating on this movie.
we using 1 to 10
plot = 2 (could have been worst)
action = 2 (could have been alot better)
acting = 3 (ain't nothing to write home about)

the plot of this movie was extremely thin, what was it again? i forgot... damn this movie was boring and senseless. it starts off really bad. a whole lotta shots, i didn't know who to root for, who to want to die anything. bad start. all through this movie they left everything shady and unexplained, if that was an attempt at suspense it was very poor. they kept jumping back and forth so much there were times i forgot about about "key characters".

second issue the action. terribly choreagraphed, one real scene of actual physical combat which denied it self of any merit thanks to the over-use of water and poor wire work. the gun play was also horrendous. come on how many bullets could a 9mm handgun hold to my knowlege the most is 16- 15 in the magazine and 1 in the head/chamber. this girl was spraying bullets like crazy without even changing mags, and that another thing thats all she did, thats all everybody did- just spray. the one scene anyboby aimed at a target was the scene when the black guy with the caribbean accent gave her the bullets with the silver nitrate in them. the final fight scene (and only) when she killed Victor, was very dissapointing that ware/vamp guy seemed to have the upperhand on victor at the start of the fight but that quickly dissapated somewhere along the lines, yeah they gotta make it interesting but how you gonna go from moving faster than site to getting your ass whooped against a wall in less than 30 seconds. the final blow on victor with the sword was just too lame. how many times will i see this effect, let me see that old movie with ray liota, interview with the VAMPIRE, resident evil, BLADE II mmmm... its been done in alot of vampire movies too, i would take that as a warning to saty away from that effect.

and finally the acting. ok a bunch of new bees on the acting scene so i wont pressure them much, this film seemed like an independent one from europe, so i didnt expect that much to begin with. all in all i give this movie 2 thumbs down.

anybody who even compares this movie to matrix (which i was hugely dissapointed in) is in need of a matrix fix. most people were dissapointed to be left hanging on the cliff, but you have to remember this movie was originally designed to be released simultaneously, then changed to two weeks apart and then it was three months apart ( so they could absorb all the revenue they cold get from each individual film royalties etc...) so alot of people are upset about it. i wasn't cause i knew it would be like that, besides the movie didn't gas me up that much.

1.You didnt know who to root for?God give me a break who the hell really knows who to root for in the first 5mins of a brand new movie.Sometimes the protagonists and antagonists are'nt revealed in the beginning of a film jeez you people want everything now now now.

2.Hmm if you had a problem keeping up with plot due to the switching between characters then i must say that you have A.D.D or something.The film makers probably did it so viewers would have a greater understanding of the parties involved in the conflict.In this movie there was'nt only black and white there was some gray.Which is where the love stories came into play.This movie wasnt entirely good vs evil if anything it brought up the question of love, loyalty and strength to fight for what is precious to you.

3. Those were'nt ordinary 9mm pistols they were machine pistols.Beretta 92FS converted to full auto with a drop-in unit to be precise. Plus she used a Walther P99 Stainless with a tactical laser sight.Trust me I'm a gun nut.

4. Movie effects are copied all the time in Hollywood.Get over yourself.

5.The acting in this movie wasnt half@$$ed as you put it .Kate Beckinsale gave life to an otherwise insipid character without compromising too much of the dark atmosphere of the movie.She is capable of her killing duties and of love.After all she is a woman.
The actor that u described as having a caribbean accent has a british one more typical of the "yardie" and slum culture.(You must have hearing problems as well)

6.Victor bounced back as any villian would because he isnt as weak as you thought he would be when going up against Corvin.Yes Corvin is fast and strong but Victor is over 600 years old.Any Vampire that old will display some serious strength and not go down without a fight.He is an experienced warrior and Corvin only just attained his strength.

All in all I got my moneys worth and from the looks of the ending there will be a sequel.This movie isnt perfect or groundbreaking and has room for improvement.
If you like action with a horror/gothic theme you'll like this movie.Just know that it isnt "Blade".

I give it an 8 out of 10

ahhh so i seee piece of it today in cc8 right time fuh spoilers

1 Nytmere u an idiot underworld kicked nuts

2 those were not ordinary smith and wessons yuh actually see it was modified to hold more rounds and be automatic

3 the werewolves wer the lycons they could change whenever they feel like it meaning if they get pissed offf completely

4 the fight scenes were ok the matrix rip off were aight specially when she killed she dark vampire father with that sword and sllice he head in half the same reaction that fellas had when martin plug that drug boss in he head in bad boys dem fellas get on worse fuh when she slice he head off

5 suspence fuh a sequel seing that the vampire elder blood get sucked into the grave of the decendat of the guy who had genes that could combine the vampire and werewolf species

alll in all a 8 outta 10 like muh boy samano

Umm why does everybody have to rape a movie down all de time, to sound cynically cool?

If anything Underworld to me was about a look. I may not argue that it may have been a weak movie but let me tell you something..

Who gives a $H!te... people want some kind of entertaining excitement. However if it turns out better than that Hurray. I am gonna see it tomorrow.

Matrix! Matrix Reloaded! Event Horizon! Lord Of The Rings!!!
Swordfish!! Seven! Memento!......why i liked these movies..because they KICKEDARSE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
And Underworld could never come close to any of these movies!!

I have a real problem with ppl like Zero who look at trailers and commercials for movies and suddenly decide they are crap without seeing it for themselves.
It's also annoying when they say that their movies "kickedarse" without telling you exactly what they liked and did not like about a movie.

1. Event horizon wasn't a half bad movie.

2. Sword fish ruled. It had a good "heights" quotient as I like to call it. Plus, any movie in which Halle Berry shows cleavage, OWNZ!!!!!
