Well the game is out , and i managed to get it around 2am this morning.
Now the first thing i noticed (although i'm not sure if it's the emu) is that this game is freaking fast. Normal combos and super cancelling have to be done quickly.The tag system is cool , and feels much like the tag system of the Capcom VS series , one plus is the introduction of tag combos which can be very damaging.

The battle system is almost the same as previous years , but now when choosing a team you first choose the character that will act as the leader for that team and then 2 other characters. The leader gains a special attack which is known as the LDM(Leader Desperation Move or sumtin like dat). Only when a character is the leader then can he use LDM.

Anyways i'll post more stuff later as my total gaming time with the game was the 20mins after i got it. Here's some screenshots :

Any word on a ps2 release date? Tag combos are my thing and I want to learn KoF anyway but there's very litte chance of me going back to older versions.

So what have you learned about the tag system so far. Is tagging in and out regulated by a gauge perhaps or is it that you can tag at any old time once the tag out team member leaves the screen?

Is there a way so that you can get possibly one charcter to do a super move, bring in your partner and continue the carnage? Are there double team combos?

its somewhat gauge based (theres a certain time you have to wait until the CHANGE OK)

I'll have to get back to you on how exactly the double team system works , i can tell you that it is not like the Marvel series where a super could be cancelled into another characters one , and double or triple supers do not exist.

Hmm. I wasn't hoping for triples supers or anything, I've seen the damage one super can do if used properly. My main concern is being able to do my point charcters super and get someone to continue the combo while my first character is still onscreen doing their thing.

It sounds very EX3-ish in terms of the tag system so I'm more than confident that I'll like this. FINALLY, a KoF game that I could enjoy. Oh wait, I haven't played it yet. DAMN.

I have a half completed download of it.
Had a virus this entire week (damn blaster worm) but I got rid of it for good yesterday along with all the spyware on my PC so I'm back in business.
Now if only I can get the guy who was uploading it to me to resume the download.

I doubt my pc could run that. Best to buy a few hrs and run it in SNS. I should have the hang of it in due time.
