This is a sweet beat-em-up. Great graphics, rather fun gameplay that doesn't get too repetitive due to decent pacing, and extreme violence, just the way we like it.

Anyone plays it yet? Runs like butter (except for grassy Elysium) with everything on on my rig, but I've heard it's taxing on some cards.

yeah i like it. i run it at everything max as well, further into the game it gets really good. if you just start up the game and now playing in the gladiator arena, dont let them turn you away, play it more! you'll be glad you did

it teaches you alot of roman stuff as well, different gods etc. the story is pretty good to, at first i thought this game was based on the movie yes, was picturing the crowds saying maximus! maximus an thing. ohh well

, its still good anyway

Nah...the fighting is nowhere as complex as Blade of Darkness. It's more along the lines of ROTK. Great graphics, extremely violent and bloody, simple fun, plenty button-mashing but it has a the-better-you-fight-the-stronger-you-get system. You'll be forced to fight the underlings with some level of skill to build up your strength to beat the bigger enemies...in the same fight.

The god-given powers are cool too.

the game is very bad

lots of disturbingly graphic violence, but very bad.

kinda like the SOF2 of beat 'em ups.

Would have liked a little bit more liberty with jump attacks a la Prince of Persia Sands of Time though.
