wow w1ntry, that traceroute says it all.

Seems everything goes to hell when it hits the  ge-3-11-nmi-edge04.nwnnetwork.net [63.245.68.81]

That's a colombus IP but it may not even be on this island.

Could be that flow do 'em a wickedness and intentionally routing the TSTT traffic to one of their nodes off island that's very saturated while allowing their regular flow customers to route through a faster, less congested pipe.

Serves TSTT right I guess for using a competitors bandwidth.

Well I've seen enough. Put in my order for 10mb flow today.

Having changed my old speedstream to a paradyne router @ home and still saw no improvement.

Though it was MUCH easier to get the PS3 to achieve NAT2 on the paradyne router. Simply enabling UPNP did the trick. No dmz or port forwarding necessary. Sweet.

thats strange....o wait...
were you a 6mb customer upgraded to 10?

If so have you reset your modem?
Cuz your speedtest is average what i used to get, then resetting the modem sent it to 10mb.

Got the call, Flow had delivered my 10mb connection and all is good in the land of sweatage.

Sped home lunch time to test the link. Plugged it directly into the PS3 and proceeded to run some ranked matches.

MUCH MUCH better than my blink. The real test will be tonight during peak times but things looking very very promising.

Flow immc.

Tested the flow to a New York server, not 10 mbs but definitely better than my BLINK link

The obligatory google ping test also faired much better

Flow went down for my area yesterday in south, and well today things seem zippy in terms of latency.
So just ran a speedtest and I'm getting 100ms to New York City.

I've never gotten so low, its usually in the 300 range.
SO they definitely did some tweaks :D

It went down to 200s between TSTT and FLow recently... but I guess it was just low utilization.. it's back up to 500+
