But even Mr. Lenin needed some Capitalism to get his economic programme back in order. Since then it has had capitalism as a secondary trend of the economy.

It's the way of the world.It isn't pretty but it's what keeps the higher classes doing business between each other.

I think however,one could argue that the first capitalists might be the Middle Easterns.Arabs.Their trading bazaars were famous as was their love of business and the dollar or gold or whatever.It was they who started up the trade along the silk road and kept this rich trade to themselves.

bribes are not, from a practical sense, worth paying. it is like dealing with terrorists and kidnappers. if they learn they can get money from you once, they know they can do so again.

and, bribery and corruption, is not really related to capitalism, but rather becomes common where there are large socio-economic gaps. theoretically, communism supposed to minimize this because all its citizens are of one class.
however, as we have learned from history, the one class becomes POVERTY, except for they exclusive ruling party who keep an iron glove around everything and become fat. Bribes then become the only way for common peope to accomplish anything in the resulting corrupt buerocratic system.
