Hmm, i c the various points being made... and sadly it just not the way this was supposed to be... I Jdcrys_Shinkuu am actually feeling ashamed of calling myself a GATTer. Reason being, if this org can not see the importance of the gaming community being recognised and even evolving into a serious esport then we as GATTer have lost focus on whats important...GAMING... be it mario for DS to COD4 for the best PC...its still GAMING...

Have you naysayers ever held a tournament? I dont mean a LAN party cause ne1 can do that... i mean plan one with the CEO of a major company? Had meeting with various Corporate powers for support? or even sponsorship?
If the answers is no then please explain to everyone reading these words your purpose. If you can not do it, don't be negative for the people who try. This is what separates us, when truly it should bind us together regardless of alliance... Be it TG or GATT... lemme say this loud n clear

WE R ALL GAMERS...

Lets see if you all can restore honor to the name of GATT in my eyes... And by the way, the govt doesnt need to kill gaming if this mentality keeps up... you all will do it for them...

Well, I hope you guys are happy now, considering that the whole "this event should be on a weekend" thing was one of your major complaints.

To the many gatt members involved in pulling this off, congrats and keep up the good work. I'm sure it wasn't easy to get this together, nor to get those dates changed. Weekend is definitely better as many have lamented.

Triple Kudos to those with the gonads to express their opinions in this thread. A lot of strong criticism and debate but I think the points were put over relatively well. Just the kind of feedback they needed. Always a good sign that there is life in gaming yet.

I'm sure we will have many opportunities yet to keep flying the GATT banner and guiding the ministry towards even more involvement in our industry. Something that was being asked of them since the first Arena gaming event at the National Stadium.

lol @ lillith's comment about winning a medal for speed eating chocolate. So true, so true.

TV6 News did a lil segment on it (sorry laertes, you weren't on).  Seems like it was well attended.
Good showing all around.  Glad to see gaming finally 'out of the closet' so to speak.

yeah, the world cannot ignore us. We will be victorious!!!

The Wii has made a lot of in roads in the main stream.

And for the hard core, just imagine when Starcraft 2 drops. Those closet doors will remain permanently open.
