Actually the pick up lines work better than that speech if you pass them off as kix. And for someone to spit out all this big words calmly says that either they rehearsed it as the girls said, or they're not nervous or anything.....suggesting that they dont realy care what the listener thinks.

Something like this might work better also: "Erm..umm.well the thing is.........um......I uh.......*starts to talk fast* ARGH!! I like you ok? No offence or anything, but I dunno why and it's killing me and I wanted to tell you for a long time but i couldnt because...well......because I didnt know what you'd say, because you're you and I'm...well me. *takes deep breath* So um....."

Most likely they'll laugh and find it cute or something. Or if they actually like you they'll do something about it.
But if you never saw them before, use one of those corny pickup lines from the other thread and then laugh at it.
The dumbest things get ppl together these days.

That's what I tell people.  As long as you're not too offensive and just come with something ridiculous and original, you'll be allright.  Either they like you not.  That's the mark of a good pick up line.  It puts the ball in their court and lets them decide whether they want to be with you or not.
