I like the game. Just wish it had more of those options that were in Nfs:PU, Nfs3 and High Stakes(pc versions). Some of the best things like car tuning, dashboard views(last 2 events in hp2 don't count),  mirrored tracks, killer replay features, knockout mode etc. have been mysteriously omitted. Good thing is what it lacks in that, it makes up for in good gameplay and tons of ways to customize your baby.

Oh and where the f*ck are the cops? In a world of illegal street racing and not even the minimal presence of the feds(oh well there probably will be another nfs with cops)?. I kinda wish they had brought back the "High Stakes" mode where if you lose the race, the guy you were racing against gets your car..
Most of the circuit tracks are too damn short(even in its city setting), but having played hot pursuit 2, that's just me. Other than that, this game is fun. IMO

on the battlefield, you must learn in the battles that ended in victory or defeat...you must think about if those lives were either spent for a good cause or or wasted

well that probably mean you have VERY BAD EYESIGHT....since the game is based on  the faster you move, the more fizzed out your surroundings look which is realism...not only that you can get a reputation on the way you race, your cars style, and your driving style....which is the way how all street races are based on...but hey if you hate the game...you'll just have a ton of people that disagree with you so i leave with :hymc:

Totally agree...from what I understand...the gfx cards at HQ and most of these GL's are pretty weak. If you're viewing this on any MX card...even a geforce4 mx...you're robbing yourself of part of the experience.

I'm not saying that the gfx in this game are top of the line, but it certainly looks very nice on my 9700pro...not to mention that gamespot.com gave it an 8 in the gfx department. That's a pretty good score imo.

there are so many reasons why this game sux...
no lan play
no importing cars and tracks (therefore no customized levels, cars)
no mp3 music support
online play sux , one main server so users in other countries will get lame pings cause they have to ping a server in usa. no private servers. no lan play. when playing online and you finish a race you have to go quite back to the main lobby instead of just going back to the room where you was.
the brand name upgrades available make no sense, same shit anyway. eg: upgrading nitrous oxide , you get to choose 3 brands, make no sense....
same women who start up the race. 2 women, 1 man. it so crappy that sometimes they put 2 of the same woman to start the race, weak.
poor controller support

and you say this is the baddest racing game to date? boy you need some hurry slap iymc

Rampage firstly ease on the caffine.

ive been beasting NFS since the first game come out on PC and by FAR this is the best version of any car game ever made. let me break down your arguement -

"no lan play"  while this IS a bad thing i dont think many NFS players missing it simply cause its a beast of a game which needs a beast of a system. the lan necessary to do this game justice is too expensive.

also there is a LAN PATCH NFS:U Lan 0.9.2 mirror http://3priedez.net/nfsu/

"no importing cars and tracks" as far as i remember only 2 NFS supported tracks and vehicle inclusion since as part of the release they offered downloadable tracks and cars. NFS has aways been modder unfriendly. also if you look at many of the cars added as mods are some of the cars that make up this version. it just goes to show ppl wanted a game with more normal cars than the lauxury/fantasy cars.

"no mp3 music support" again as far as i remember NFS only allowed you to use a music cd and i cant seem to remember is porche unleased has MP3 support. music has always been a hack thing for NFS. for NFS HS2 all you needed was the mobile city online music importer and the rest was gold. theres a track txt just change the info and thats it. NFS underground has one of the best game sound tracks ive heard in a while not to much metal and a good helping of rap music. just the right mixture for me.

"online play sux" well not that i have any more time for online playing but being back in tnt and having to use 56k again just seals it for me. again NFS underground is a game you play selfishly anyway.

"the brand name upgrades...makes no sense" thats cause your probably not into the whole racing moddification sceene. while i do agree that the choice of brand name is superficial and adds no bearing to the actual gameplay. yet theres something special about putting kumho tires on a set of momo rims that obliviates all reason. I HAVE NEVER GOTTEN A GAME THAT GAVE ME EXACTLY WHAT I WANTED CHROME MOMO RIMS!! that fact that so many ppl are obsess with this game proves that EA has hit a sleeping audience

"same women" well there is an option to turn off the crowd. yet if you prefer the old flashing 1-2-3-go your more than welcome. at the end of the day its all tapestry and be thankful that they arent the usual flat wallpaper they normaly are.

"poor controller support " lol ask anyone who come to my house and theyll tell you PS2 controllers rule. acquire a rockfire ps2/usb bridge and life and rumble come in a very sturdy package. theres no real excuse in fact buying both is still cheaper than buting a pc controller and its more reliable.

ohh god you again
you giving the game excuses for it lameness man. you might have a ps2 controller or whatever hook up, but that doesn't mean that other users with other controllers are supported. look at prince of persia, all kinda videocard compatability problems, that doh mean that because baego have a 5900 or something and i have a 9600 mean the game has an excuse. you just not seeing beyond the underground mode...nice rims, etc etc, they fooling you! we looking at the actual game here! nfsu does have a good soundtrack but no mp3 support, doh bring in no excuse there. wont you like to ride your skyline down olympic stadium banging grindin on your logitech speakers? the fact that you said nfs has always been modder unfriendly means you not blind :) , thats good. i was just showing why its not the "best".  there are more problems ingame as well eh. i just list general problems. but for the dialup user who just want to beat the underground mode and doh business about mp3 support, more women starting the race, and a bunch of other stuff then nfsu is right for you i guess. me just shows the truth! doh beat me up! :(
