What language are you looking to program in by de way?

There are many great books out there for programming
but books are very costly its almost always over $200 for a good programming book
but if you can't afford to buy the book
and you have access to the net i suggest you
1. use online tutorials
2. download the adobe files for the books (much much cheaper)
3. E-books
I know many great tutorial sites and E-books for many programming language just specift the language and i'll name em for you.

Listed below are some of the programming books that i have used and owned due to school :

For C programming:
Diving into C programming
C programming for Engineers
Programming Design in C-Jeri R. Handly & Elliot B. Koffman
Programming Design in C++
Learn C++ in 21 days

For assembly language:
Assembly Language, Design and Interfacing- Marzidi

For Java:
Java Internationalization-Anderw Deitsch & David Czarnecki
Designing with Jave Script- Nick Heinle & Bill Pena

For Pascal:
Programming with Pascal-Byron S.Gottfried
Pascal Programming- B. J. Holmes

For Visual Basic
Programming in Visual Basic -Bradley Millspaigh

Personally im not sure if those are the best books to "begin" programming with but they are very good books never the less

If you tell me what language you want to program in i might be able to help you out more

and when you say "good programs" can you please define that ??
