Good MMORPG games...
« on: March 08, 2005, 09:58:40 PM »
I did a search and i came across a forum, and got this as a reply

Quote
http://www.roseon.com - Rush On Seven Episodes, It has console style rpg look to it, and alot of bright fairytale style worlds, but it's a really great game. I used to not like the anime style games much (favoring the medieval style games more), but this game has superb gameplay and beautifull worlds, and is definately worth the download. Probably my favorite of the free games.

http://www.knightonlineworld.com - A really popular game among free mmo players. It has good gameplay and a good interactive party environment, but the world is really small. After about 10 hours of gameplay you might very well have explored the entire knight world, and after that it is just level grinding. It's based more around having large pvp wars with the opposing nation rather than being a quest oriented mmorpg. Still a great game though, the interface/camera views are excellent.

http://www.kalonline.com - Very similar to knight online, but with a larger world to explore. While knight online is medieval/fantasy oriented, kal online is an Ancient Asian mmorpg. Great game/great interface.

http://www.muonline.com - I think this game could have the potential to become the best MMORPG of all time if it were designed alot better. It's very much what Diablo 3 will probably look like, and the graphics are great. Unfortunately I don't enjoy it in the present state. There is no map to know where you are going, hardly any quests, slow leveling, you can't run, and you can't see any life bar for the monsters you are killing. It just is missing so many aspects it needs to become a good game.

http://www.pristontale.com - Another console/anime style mmorpg. It is free untill lvl39, which would take a LONG time to get to. It has a really pretty world, and the interface is very nice as well. It gets my vote.

http://www.gth.com.my - Another Asian style game... Alot of the Korean/Asian games are really similar, but they usually have a nice interface. It's again like Knight Online with some variations. Worth the download to try.

http://www.monsterandme.com/ - Sort of a pokemon style game. You have your monster pet and you get to go around and fight and stuff. Not the kind of game I enjoy playing, but I have played it and it's a game that you might enjoy if your into that type of mmo.

http://www.illusorystudios.com/faldon/ - I really hated downloading all these horrible looking 2d games, but this was one of the few I enjoyed. The community is really nice, and the gameplay is actually pretty good (much better than runescape in my opinion). The world is also pretty cool... Alot bigger and better than most. It's a small download, so it's something to try I guess.

http://www.freeworldonline.com - The graphics arn't quite that great in this game, but it looks like a game to watch out for. It's currently closed beta, and you have to be ready to sign up whenever they open it again, but it looks really neat. As long the interface is nice I'll probably play

I dunno if any of them are really good, but if ya'll have any to add, please do, cause i wanna find out what is this "craze" about MMORPGs. And sadly, at the moment i am too poor to play any of them which require a fee, like WOW and what not.
 :D Thanks

Ultima Online!! Bad game!! Old style 2D graphics... but it ruled me :P

You can buy houses, plant ...plants..., be a blacksmith, lumberjack, miner, tinkerer, necromancer etc etc

PvP is awesome also, it more depends on your skill rather than the items you carry...of course items can make a hella difference.....

Butttt i cant afford it either... so i hafto salt as well :P
There are free shards about tho...
