Suggestions to Unforgiven:
Soyo Dragon KT880 or the A7V8X-E Deluxe I would say (can't go wrong with ASUS)

Go with at least a 2600+ Barton at least
if you go with a 2600/2800/3000+ w/ 333MHZ FSB you don't need to go PC3200

For memory I recommend Paired Kingston HyperX or Corsair TWIN X PC2700 (the Kingston has lower latencies for the same price hence why I went that way)
If you go 400MHz FSB, Corsair TWIN X
Both of these are preferable to have 1GB of RAM as opposed to 256x2

I can organise all these parts for you down here, have a partner w/ a company that brings in stuff. PM me if you're interested

One more thing what graphics card do you currenltly own?

or you can get an AthlonXP 3200 for the price of a 3000 off new egg. it doesn't come with a heatsink or a long warranty, but on newegg you can buy an extra 1 year warranty and heatsink seperate.

http://www.newegg.com/app/viewProductDesc....-103-482&depa=0

the FSB can reach 400 once you have DDR 400 ram.
http://freetrinipoetry.blogspot.com/

Core 2 duo E6600
Asus mobo
Radeon HD 4770
2 gigs DDR2 667 + 2 gigs DDR 800 OCZ
