far as i know direct x 9.0 c which support shader 3.0 isn't out so i wondering how they comparing the thing if it not out . ATI making noise to justify their lack of PS 3.0 support hell by next year we might have PS 4.0 will the R500 support that ? Only one game supports it currently so that not showing much we need to see more games to prove their point before i decide . One game is never enought to just dump an excellent card or accuse it of cheating  . I want to R420 numbers tooo

bah... more reason to hate the yankee cheaters.... ATi does the same thing, but they never lose any image quality in the process, this explains why the 6800's image quality in FarCry was reallllllly bad compared to the radeon .

 this is one reason to stay away from nvidia... the benchmarks tend to lie.. lots of people are biased in favour of nvidia.... your not going to get the reference nvidia card and the OEM manufacturers like to use low quality parts to cut down cost.. and end up cutting down performance..

 but occasionally you are lucky enough to find one that is FASTER than the reference card..... but it always comes at a price .

but.. if shader 1.1 quality can pass for 3.0 , it proves that you really DON'T need 3.0 once the card is fast enough

farcry as far i concern doesn't really show what ps 3.0 can do .look a at unreal 3.0 engine demo that show what ps 3.0 can and u would want all game to use ps 3.0

Probably ATI making claims because of the non - ultra gf6 cuts the 9800XT. Anyhow i think ati shud stop making accusations and plan to work on they graphics coding alogrithms, plus directx9.0c isn't out, so there isn't no support for ps 3.0 so only ps 2.0 will render.  And ATI shud stop b$tch$ng about it.
