It has nothing to do with PNM or UNC. They both do the same stupidness, just in different ways. What really has to happen is a new party has to come to power who actually has the country's best interests at heart. This PNM/UNC tribal politics tango is not working, and it never will.

T&T goverment ain't in no hurry to do anything for it people since it own 51% of tstt stock while C&W holds the other 49% this mean that tstt dividens go to the goverment .Would any goverment actually give up on that money by letting other players in. Not one chance in hell  .

Bingo coldstorm...right on the money. The T&T government has its dollars at stake with the opening up of the telecom market.

Well the Gov't owns 51% of TSTT. And we all know that tstt is a money making machine, lubricated by the people's sweat. They'll supposrt TSTT all the way. That's good income for the Gov't. Plus I made the mistake of arguing with a drunk client who happened to work in tstt.  He said if you want PBR speed then you must pay to drive on the Bus route. I was also told that TSTT pays C&W 500 mil a year. If that's true, we're not the only ones getting raped, and Coldstorm's Venezuela idea's looking pretty good.

i say screw at&t  we need some local copetion and them some of them other telcom buisnesses should grow and all the money stays in the country

as long as telcom doh make a standard  or merge like the cable company
