I guess youre right. Kang was one of the few full on humans in the game. No enhancements or evil etc, no robotics, stuff like that. It was good to see a real fighter kick some @ss.

Three words on the whole Kang resurrection thing:
THEY'D BETTER NOT.

Personally, I am sick and tired of the whole 'Characters die and are reborn again' shtick. I find that once a character dies and you make a big deal out of it, they should STAY dead. I mean, what's the point of killing off somebody when you're just going to bring him/her back anyway?
I've seen it in comics, I've seen it in movies, and I've seen it WAY too many times in gaming.

People, PLEASE.
The death of Liu Kang was one of the selling points for Deadly Alliance.
It assured some of us that there was going to be change, you know, 'Out with the old, in with the new.' Just leave him dead.
Makes the whole 'died in the heat of battle' thing more virtuous.
Johnny Cage could slide, but for God's sake, PLEASE.
LET THE DEAD DIE, ALREADY.

Mk is pure ballz now

I stopped after Mk2

MK 5 was a step in the right the direction but it still turned out cheesy.

and oh yeah

MK1 wasnt very dif from MK2

except for
# Easier juggling combo system.
# Overall speed increase.
# Reverse flip kicking.
# Roundhouse kick treated like an uppercut.
# Crouching low punch added.
# Wins represented by icons.
(all slight tweaks but still gameplay changes)

MK3 added the dial-a-combo system and the run feature
(this time major changes)

Ultimate MK3 added
New two-on-two tag team and eight-player tournament gameplay modes.
The ability to lead a combo with a jump punch.
(again minor tweaks but enuff to change the gameplay)

MK Trilogy
Only new feature added was the agressor mode
(again enough to change the gameplay)

MK4
Sported a new 3d engine (well somewhat 3d)
Introduced the ability to draw a weapoin during combat
Added a flimsy sidestep feature

You see my friend not all MK games are totally alike .Even after all the tweaking and changes the series still sucks .The style change was the only thing worth playing MK5 for and even that gets old .

The MK series will never attain the glory it once held with its first 2 games.

Angry Bastard should eat something Magically delicious.

Bob is friggin right. MK never had a strong depth of gameplay to hold your attention over time. Playing Deadly Alliance, I personally beat the Quest mode crap and unlocked everybody just so I could say I did it. It is a fun game, but played constantly, you'll get VERY pissed at it.
