ok i have always been into dragons and those mystical stuff but i never heard about LOTR before the Movies, and me as a none fan of the book(cause i don't read)

That's an admirable sentiment but unfortunately the Academy isn't much impressed seein' "man get slash up".
If LotR does win it will have to be on the merits it makes as an epic and a human story.
And I think as that goes TLS does match it.

Indeed Tom Cruise should definitely get the Best Actor Award. I think the race for Best Picture will be a close one.
