Solaris died on me the other day.....

It got FRIED!!! Apparently the school lost power overnight and it didn't shutdown right. Cron was dead, so was almost every other program including the init 0 command and shutdown. We ended up just re-installing it, kept all our user data but lost all patches and extra programs. Just out of curiosity, who in here runs Solaris?

Wierd how it went kaput just from improper shutdown. I dunno about it really, but it just went down a notch in my book.

for networking uses Solaris still beats Linux in my book.
