TSTT ! take tstt! trust me! TSTT !! low pings , p2p actually works ... if tstt is in your area TAKE IT ! Green dot service getting worse and worse...  3 months ago it was actually usable and alot better than dialup but now i think i'd rather have dialup.... simple chat programs lag out , low speeds  , 12-14k downloads instead of my promised 256k... not to mention 600 ms pings which make games impossible to play . Even if Green Dot did get fibre optic backbones etc. i don't trust them to provide a reliable service after my experience with them.... any changes they make are usually for the worst... the technology may be capable but the people don't seem to be ,they need at least a year's experience again before they can  be a good ISP..
I hear theres an internet cafe down the street for me now that has dsl, therefore i should be able to get now. . . 5 months and no gaming network, no improvement in service   , if tstt says yes at all.. bye bye green!

12-14k downloads instead of my promised 256k
That's not a proper comparison...
12-14k...you are speaking in kilobytes
256k...you are speaking in kilobits

8 bits = 1 byte so divide the 256k by 8 to get the proper comparison of 32k(bytes)

So while you are still not getting your promised max speed, at least now you are making the correct comparison.

Try comparing portugals to portugals next time...

Trini knows what he is talking about...just to clarify he is getting 14 kilobytes a second on greendot...yes the service sucks he should be getting his 30-32 kilobytes per second like other residential users on tstt residential. Add to that the poor pings and p2p port blocking = a real crappy internet connection.

It is funny since a few months ago you woulda swear trini was a greendot marketing rep.....just goes to show how bad service really drives away your customers. I was hoping they woulda been good since we will end up being stuck with tstt once more for internet access. When their service gets worse we will be stuck on dialup again :s with no real competition :(

Kaizen how much is that 512k connection from tstt costing ya? Do you have some friends in there organizing you? I would pay extra for a 512 dsl residential yes 256 is too slow :p

funny. i had green dot for about 3 months now. have not had any problems. my friend brought his computer over and we played underground wit no problem. maybe its because the first they bullsh!ted me i gave them some words on the phone and in person. was pretty sorry i did it but and the bright side i got a month free plus my services have no interruptions.

wonder if i cause out mr. manning if he wont do something bout the crime ...hmmmm
