How to organize a Console Sweat...
« on: February 12, 2005, 11:20:56 PM »
With the last fiasco we had befall us I think it’s about time we all learn how to do this thing right. I'll get right to it.

Person A wants to play person B in a console game. They contact each other. This is most efficient set of questions to throw when organizing the thing.

1. First and foremost, find out who bringing the mc console. The console sweat thing should have at least given you a clue to do this. Decide who is bringing it and find out whether its modded or not to see who can bring games you want to play.

2. Organize a time and try to come as close to that as possible. Don't tell a man you coming for 4 pm and your lessons finish at 3:30pm and it will take WELL over a half hour to get yourself together. This is life, we aren't robots. Things happen. Make allowances when it comes to time.

3. After having finalized the above two it would help if you don't forget. Remind yourself how you can that you have something planed or what not. Ask whoever in the family if anything has to be done on the day that would not have you coming down. Work around it if possible or cancel if necessary. The key is to find out EARLY and let people know what the situation could be like.
Knowing is half the battle, GI Joe, American Hero...blah blah blah!!!!

Aside from bring money to pay for time if necessary, I don't think there could be any other angle that can be covered here. Things happen spontaneously and can ruin plans I will admit but that's more than acceptable.

Telling a man yea I coming to beat the crap outta you in XYZ or ABC and ending the thing there only to find there is no console there is just senseless and lame.

Gaming with blood.

A good post but there is a bigger issue at hand here.

If it is difficult it doesn't get done.

That is very difficult. Meaning more often than not, it won't get done.

The real solution is making this thing easy. That is what the Tournament Team is about.

Time we are done, getting a console battle won't be a hit and miss affair anymore. You won't have to do anything but show up wearing clothes.

Just ask Prez from his Sunday sweat @ maxx. lol

Till our masterplan is complete, this is good standing orders from imperial!
