Actually, I prefer to think of it as us giving you guys the latest in gaming news as they come. And I'm personally stoked right now that Mortal Kombat:Deception is getting the respect that it deserves. Soon, I'll be getting my copy, and all will be right with the world....for now, at least.
But to answer your question, (and I'm speaking on the behalf of myself, here), gamers have a right to know what's going on in the gaming world. Be it an interesting article or an expose on the lastest games, gaming news will be posted as it comes. And you do raise a good point, maybe we should be writing these articles from our own points of view, but then there's little things like the admins posting the article not having the privelege of owning the game, swamped (like I am) with stressful school assignments or obligations at work, or some other reason that keeps them from doing so.
So, the next best thing (and easiest) is to quote the article from the source, and let gamers know what's going on. It's clear, to the point, and saves a lot of time for the administrators.
And yes, we do play games.
