Mac OS X is better than XP

For anyone out there that has ever used or seen this OS you'd know its faster, cleaner, more secure, FAR BETTER LOOKING, easier to use (YES FOLKS EVEN WITH ONE MOUSE BUTTON) and on a network sees all Win based systems fine, what does XP have to say for all of this? (this coming from a man on XP Pro)

its true mac os x out class windows xp on almsot all levels
plus there aren't many viruses made for os x
u can even use a double button mouse on it

from experience, yes it may be easier to use (for some. remember we all had to learn to use an OS once.) but its just as stable as xp. when it want to play up it sucks just as much.

and even the evil overlord Gates dont charge you F***ing $100+ US for a point release!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

the real question is...
can you play 99.9% of games on it?

Games ah yes the whole point we're here in gatt.... the one common thing most gatt members share you're right that the game support is minimal compared to windows... but then if they made more for M@c then i'm sure we'd have more servers on OS X since they use Linux servers for UT2003/4 and others Linux/Unix with a easy interface anyone

all i like bout macs are the clean and stable interface... (i fine the mac shell real stable compared with explorer) but thats just about it

Oh loss,

This drama will go on forever.  First of all Macs are NOT more user friendly that PCs.  That's an old saying that died a long time ago when people stopped needing a command line and new PCs shipped with a quick restore CD.  Don't ever say it again.

The main reason Macs seem more stable is because the hardware and OS options are more limited so programmers don't have to test as much.  Apple controls everything.  The PC world is more open so more unknowns to think about and it isn't possible to predict every single configuration.

Finally, Macs are still a bit more expensive than an equivalently powered PC because there are more PC manufacturers pumping out economy parts.  I think the most powerful gaming PC will outprice the most powerful gaming Mac (if there is such a thing).

Anyway, Go buy a Mac and enjoy your pretty OS X, it's really cool, but don't compare it to WinXP on a PC.

Dread this person has obviously not used a M@c in AGES cause I am a PC W1nXP user and even with one mouse button the apple was faster and easier to use I have a HARDCORE PC user to back me up here (one who writes his own BIOS for his KT266 mobo) and as for more closed.... last I check W1nXP was closed and FREE BSD (the name isn't just for show dude) which Mac OSX is built on is well FREE, as in you can cross compile most if not ALL Linux/Unix apps and it will run... OH and u HAVE MUCH MUCH more control in Linux or UNIX LAST I CHECKED... I could be wrong, or maybe me and over 60% of the ppl who run and maintain webservers and like are.... ah well to those who know how W1ndows came about and why it sucks (standards for IP based on IBM patented/outdated technology...) hura for others like my friend about here... ah well

oh and one more thing if ur using styleXP, the community theme has a M@c OSX theme and theres the g-brushed metal (looks like panther) that u can download from the site... also look into object-dock it makes a taskbar like the @pple docking bay enjoy!!!

i also like mac cus you can run linux apps on it
