yeah...Jet audio is good...doh know about the video aspect of it though....

I still think no one player is gonna cut it for all ya  media....

Windows is actually overburdened by an overbundance of players,
depending on the video codec you choose to use.

No one player can handle *everything*, though a few come close.  Media
Player Classic is pretty good at handling everything, though it still
chokes on some of the stranger .WMV codecs and can't do .VOB chapters
for DVDs.

Probably the full honking Kazaa Codec pack (which is an amalgam of
codecs bundled with Mplayer Classic)

The "choking" on certain wmv has more to do with installed wmv codec version...

The codec pack isn't a media player...so it doesn't answer the question
asked. Don't say Mplayer since thats also a player/decoder (of Linux origin).

Zoom Player 4.0final + appropriate codec packs.



Of course if you don't know how to configure these power players properly
then it makes little sense.

spot on shaun,

many months ago I evaluated every media player known to man. The reason?
To decide which one would be best to run on EuroTV.

The winner by a land slide was Jet Audio. It does it all, bar none and
requires no tweaking whatsoever (yup you read right, none, nada, zilch)

Playlist runs from quicktime, to realplayer to avi without a hitch.
Plays DVDs as well, no external codec required.

Best of all, it can monitor a folder for a dynamic playlist.

Drop some new movie trailers in your "trailers folder" and boom....they
are magically on your playlist. Look ma!! no hands!!!

This one player plays everything and plays them well. Top that off with
incredible good looks. Mirroring those HI FI media components you'll
find in a typical home media center.

That said, I still use winamp 2.0 for dedicated mp3 playback only
because it can handle my 10,000+ mp3 playlist with it's ultra nifty
"jump to" feature  faster than everything else I tried, including it's
3.0 and 5.0 brothers.


Zoomplayer is to Jet Audio what Notepad is to Microsoft Word.

Zoom Player and MediaPlayer classic are fast and winampesque in that
regard. Can't be beat for speed/load up time. A consideration if your
machine is not blazingly fast or you're in a real hurry to see what's
inside that nrop.mpg file and could careless for fanciful features.

yeah baego i don't agree with you 60% of the time, but in this case, you
are correct, sir.
once witnessing the power of jetaudio at euro is to have your media
player changed forever.
jet audio, formerly lan video player, works great 'out the box', but has
a hella lotta settings to play with. i also noticed it also doesnt crash
as much as WMP when playing corrupt or partially downloaded files. also
has quite low cpu usage.
if the subtitle player were more configurable it would be perfect (might
be my version)
