Runs great here, everything on high etc. Altho, only 1024x768 cos of the blasted monitor I have by my girl. My 19" up home could take it well beyond dat res, but my more powerful pc is by my girl so I have to make do on her older 17" which could actually go a bit higher than 1024x768, but the refresh rate would suck and hurt me eyes.
Pertinent specs:
2600+
1024MB PC2700
128MB 9700 Pro
WinXP SP1
Finally finished it this weekend gone dey, fantastic story and everything, with some nice twists here and there for good measure.
My advice to anyone, get this game!
Advice for those just about to start, don't waste too many points on ranged weapons etc, cos once you get your saber, you'll totally wish you had put those points to better use on powers that affect melee weapons etc. Up close and personal wit d saber is d way to go, plus, you can always throw some points to lightsaber throw if you want to add some ranged attack to the mix
Also, if you plan on wearing some decent armour (anything beyond Jedi robes), remember that some Force powers are affected by armour...read that to mean that once you throw on armour, some Force powers nah wuks! So you may want to stick to the various Jedi robes you find here and there and throw points behind powers like Physical Conditioning etc to compensate for the lack of tougher armour.
Set the Scripts for your team members! Go into the profile view of your character and you'll see a Script button down at the bottom, switch to your team members and set it for them and even for your main character in case you have to micro manage a team member during a battle for whatever reason. The Default script is by no means useless, but they'll only ever just attack with the weapon(s) in their hands. Whereas if you set it to one of the other options they would use grenades or Force Powers if the situation calls for it. You might wanna consider setting your ranged attackers (like Carth etc) to Grenadiers so they will pelt grenade if it safe to do so. And set all your Jedi accomplices to the 3rd option (Force User or something so), that way they will use their non-combat Force powers like Resist Energy etc (which benefits the entire group sometimes) as well as their combat powers. If you don't set them to be Force Users they will only use combat force powers and you will have to manually invoke their non-combat powers...
Just before a fight, when the game auto-pauses because of enemy sighted, you can go into your inventory and use med packs and/or stims to boost up before the confrontation. Once you have been engaged tho, you'll only be allowed to use one item once per round or something like that, basically, you could use as many med packs and fully heal yourself and boost your stats with multiple stims *before* battle as opposed to when you've been engaged, you don't have the freedom to use multiple items (it will disable the Use Item button in the inventory once you've used an item...until your 'turn/round' comes again).
What other advice can I give? Ahhh...play Pazaak (a card game mini-game) till d man refuse to play yuh anymore or he only willin to play friendly games...it can be frustratin at times, but the credits you get will be worth it. Also, some players will give you a bonus for playing so many games against them (and beating them of course), like discounts on merchandise they sell or better cards for your deck etc. If you wanna play it real nasty, save before you start playing them, save each time you beat them and reload each time yuh get licks. That's where the frustration begins to set in, lix to craw = reload and play over...the credits will come in handy tho
Save regularly! My cousin went through a real big area and dead at the end only to realise he forget to save from till back where he enter d place...pressah!
One last piece of advice....don't attempt to take a Rancor on in one-on-one combat...you WILL get licks to craw!
Time stats:
Officially, it took me about 65hrs to complete (last save time was around that time).
My time check tho shows me running well over 75hrs with all the reloading etc that I did. Some parts I didn't like how things turned out because of a decision I made etc so I reloaded to try it a different way.
Right now I seriously considering running back through it to see the true power of the dark side
And also to try out different fighting styles, like double-sided sabers or 2 regulars or 1 regular plus a short etc...this game has a high replay value, which is something you don't often find nowadays...yet another reason to get this game!
