Well thats what I wondering too....
i guess when they start selling it online, they will have them activated....
My way of getting it would be to wait til a relative heading up there...
Or even call up someone, let them get it at a store and give me the # over the phone...
In which I will reimburse...

Yes you can use credit card directly on PS Store..
But Trinidad Credit Cards don't work due to "Trinidad" not being sleectable on the Billing Address Country List.
Due to that, as your address you need to use United States or Canada...And there lies the problem.
You therefore need a credit card with a billing address of the country you selected.
I believe a local credit card can work when a skybox address is attached to it.
We tried that and it didn't work...so can't confirm how true that is...

I got funds on the Playstation store from a Canadian relative who came down a couple weeks ago...
Used her card, reimbursed her..

Battlefield Bad company is out today. And im willing to give it another shot based on the good reviews. Now as you may know my 360 is dead like bread.......so im thinking of picking this up for PS3....thing is i dunno if alyuh men going to buy it

NOT CONTENT WITH LOSING $3 billion in the last 24 months by pricing the Playstation 3 at below its own cost price, Sony is now resorting to giving the things away in order to buy market share.

Sony Australia is currently running a 'buy a TV, get a free PS3' offer on selected models from its Bravia line. Any TV in the KDL line - from 32 to 52 inches - qualifies, and retailers reckon that Sony has 35,000 of the blighters to give away.

Most of the TVs in the promotion are full 1080p models, which make them ideal for conecting up to the Blu-ray-loving PS3 - apart from the fact that most games on the platform render in 720p, and thus require upscaling on a full HD display.

Regardless, those looking for a new home cinema set up could do far worse than getting in on this offer. And those looking for a rise in Sony stock price could do worse than going down the pub and crying into a pint as another $3 billion goes out the door.

Nothing wrong with that marketing, a complimentary product that will probably lead to more sales of BD media and games. Also are the models the higher end ones? I guess they will absorb some of that cost in the markup anyway. They are trying to get their HD system in your home using their HD TV hehe, good way to expose the brand anyway

And its catching up on 360 sales in the US...

I am not a Sony fanboy but the system has improved alot over the past year, lots of new titles coming out this year and Home etc. coming soon. Reliable hardware along with BD support are a big plus. It doesn't hurt that the price keeps falling either...

Well for one all consoles are sold below what it costs to make except maybe the Wii as it is reusing a lot of Gamecube components.

This is also not the first time a console has caused a loss in the billions.

I'm sure the PS3 will have around an 8 year life span like the PS2 so I figure by year 5 it will be profitable especially since  a lot more devices will be using the cell and bluray drives driving its cost down.

This is the main problem with the PS3, it used too many new components at the start which caused its price to be so high and which was one of the reasons they lost some third party support.

It does show the unfair advantage Sony and Microsoft have over Nintendo. If Nintendo lost 3 billion or more they'd be out of business.

That's right, and I don't like being called an Idiot, as my Xbox 360 has been working for the past 3 years, I have no complaints..Yea, I bought W1nTry two 360's but hey, that's my choice, to call me an "idiot" for doing so because the 360 happens to be a more balanced GAMING console rather than a BluRay player posing as a gaming console is my choice.
Hell yea I said it, because Sony decides to invest in Cell, BluRay, and risk Thrid Party developers jumping ship to Microsoft. That's their problem. Calling us Idiots is not helping Sony one bit.....
