but they also have to have a nice shape...slender and nimble cause a big oversized mech doh make sense, EVEN if it have power..... has to have the balance

Gosh it sucks when I hear people refer to Evangelion as a 'mech anime'...its near sickening. NGE was NEVER meant as a mech anime. None of the sterotype robots-come-save-the-world ideas. GO do some research on the storyline and then come make you n00b comments...

evangelion wasn't a mecha anime never meant to never will be in the eyes of it creators and the true anime fans of it. Evangelion wasn't even that exciting to me just a massive headache that was waiting to happen.

"Dual a parallel in trouble" is more a mecha anime than evangelion and that isn't consider a mecha anime more like a drama anime also remember them having a petition for more episodes

Evangelion is not really a mecha anime, although their are certain elements of mecha involved.
it is just the best anime....period
without Evangelion there would have been no anime made after 2001......so get down on yr knees and give thanks

what crap i read no anime for 2001
evangelion for ur information was released in 1995 i japan around that same time dbz or db ig dbgt would have still been running .
the only thing evangelion did was to revive mech anime form its dying state gundam wing was also relased in 1995 in my memory servers me right and that had a huge following in japan. i will never give thanks to that show

Gundam woulda lived no matter how low it dropped...Gundam exhibits a few typical anime qualities that, like Astro Boy and other classics will never die as long as it remains alive for other generations to see.

Do you even know HOW the storyline for NGE originated??? Go look it up before you make accusations son...

The author was in the middle of a great depression due to a settlements and problems in his life and wrote the entire story condemning the Earth and all its inhabitants for the pain he was suffering.

Also, translate the scrolling Japanese text in the credits and in the EOE movie and tell me what it says...THEN have the gall to come back and say thatit 'revived' mech anime...
