IT'S GOOD NEWS FOR hacks all over the globe, as a bunch of researchers from the National Institute of Radiological Sciences, and the Tokyo University of Science, have found that beer is actually really good for you.

As well as enabling drinkers to unleash manly belches and develop attractive, proud beer-bellies, apparently the magical nectar helps reduce chromosomal damage from radiation exposure.

Researchers are hoping that the discovery will lead to a new radiation drug being developed, or at least a more party friendly atmosphere in the hospital wards.

hic hoc hunc drunkBlood samples were taken from lucky test subjects before and after they had drunk about 630ml of beer. Apparently, when the samples were exposed to X-rays and other types of radiation, after the subjects had glugged the beer their samples showed at least 30% fewer aberrations in the blood cells.

According to the Nihon Keizai Shimbun, the useful ingredient that could very well save your life in a post-pub X-ray incident is beta-pseudouridine. Although the researchers are excited about the findings, group leader Koichi Ando warned that while drinking beer prior to an X-ray could be beneficial, "people should be aware that drinking beer may affect the results of other health exams." Or, indeed, any exam.

LMAO, interesting.....too bad that beer tastes like fermented piss....im sure ppl would agree withe me. But beer is something which when enjoyed its only because its an aquired taste. Honestly, who ever for the first time drank beer, and actually liked it?

But still, this can prove to be very interesting, I just hope that these are one of those break throughs that no one ever hears about again.....untill someone else discovers it....

Makes you wonder how they arrived at this little experiment...

LMAO @ ferment piss, beer (which I do drink) is not so much an aquired taste as it is something u should ONLY drink when 'BEASTLY COL' Cause as much beer as i've drank in my lifetime I can honestly say that I still wouldn't drink a war beer if meh life depended on it. When its cold though.... hmm.... *drifts away* yeah anyways Scotch is an aquired taste (which I have) beer is something where presentation is most important.

Yes I am a trinidadian, that was kind of hurtful. Oddly I was called a jamaican when I went to an internation conferance in august cause i said i was from the caribbean, if it wasnt a girl who asked, i would have hit her.

And yes IMO, I have to agree, same thing goes with scotch, although, when i first drank it, i wasnt as turned off as I was when I first drank beer.

did u know that in brewing beer, the beer contains cobalt chloride(a poison) and it's after some refinement u get the final product. so i say lewwe jest drink babash, yuh might go blind but yuh ent go dead
