rifle have a large recoil
its really good for long distance
but pistol is easy handle
easy to switch
pistol and sniper is what i run with

unless i have my fuel rod

when sniping..dont necessarily have to waste ammo for de sniper rifle..the pistol has a scope, good range and a good amt of ammo

you playing it on Ez or something? the aliens run away from the grenades.... what to do.. iz to pelt one plasma... let dem gum.. dem pelt a frag where dey land.. by the time they get up the frag blasts them backwards ... possibly into plasma explosion.

Walk with a machinegun and a shotgun. DON'T panic and shoot SHORT bursts. The shotgun is for the larger flood that burst when you shoot them. USe their blowing up in a melee to destroy other enemies. The shotgun practically shreds anything with one close face blast. As for the little 'jellyfish'-use the machinegun in short bursts against them when they come in swarms-you kill one-it explodes and kills more around them. The flood are the practical dumbasses of the game as their intelligence is greatly lower than the other minions.

I heard some ppl had some hard times with the ManHunters-the guys with the big shield that charge at you. For these lumber hulks-aim for the head or back. There's an orange spot you can aim for that they protect. Hit that and they die within a mere 3 shots. A well placed sniper shot to the NECK will do the job as well...

hunters are only tough in cramped areas
eg. coming up from the underground on the island, you'll be on a catwalk with 2 or 3 hunters above you on legendary. one way do do this is to lure em down the walk and use a grenade to push em off

otherwise they're easy. wait for the charge, side strafe, attack back

come on! biggest tip of all is you're on a pc! USE A MOUSE!

you can use their fire power against each other too - they do hurt each other.

pistol and sniper are the fastest means of dispatch. one shot to the back. 2 or 3 with the pistol on legendary.

In the winter level on your way to the controlroom, you can skip a ton by jumping off the bridge on the sloping support beam, and walking down to pick up a banshee.

The sword guys arn't bad. especially the invisible ones since those forgo a shield. Energy weapons stun/slow down the enemy, just remember not to overheatem during a firefight. The smaller energy gun is invaluable on legendary, since you'll take out shields with it in one shot - assuming you aim right - and they track the enemy somewhat.
