Help on picture resolution!!!!

Hi karrionx here I'm a newb But i was just wondering how do you get
the pictures you draw to still look sharp on the computer screen?
Everytime i scan my pictures to computer it loses the resolution of the ink
and you can't hardly make out the picture. Please some dude help!! :-?

u gotta set your scanner to scan in a higher resolution. 300dpi or more.
depending on the software you use you can switch scan mode to manual and tweak the settings there.
also, what you can also do is that when you scan it adjust the brightness/contrast of the picture if it's black and white.
there are probably some tutorials online as well. google is the healer.

Like lovy said, scan at highest dpi possible.

You can artificially enhance sharpness in most decent graphics editing proggies...

Bicubic(good) and Lanzcos(best) resize if available helps too...yes even if resizing to same size.

as lovyan said, brightness contrast setting works. use levels(photoshop) for fine control or if the contrast is too low.
