Other people adhere to their own codes as far as that is concerned. Neon kicks brass in every game? I could molest him mercilessly with one hand tied behind my back in Soul Calibur. Literally. I honestly could. You too.

That doesn't give me free rein to proclaim myself more of a *gamer* than anyone. To me, that's an insult.


Neon doesn't kick brass in every videogame, or even in every videogame he plays. Neither does Chronos. Neither do you. No one does.

Your whole concept of "ultra-gamer" is retarded in my opinion. Retarded and misguided.


I'm better than you competitively in Soul Calibur and one or two other games. You're better than me competitively in SOF, Street Fighter, Tekken, Quake, Craft, Generals and quite a few other games. Does that make you more of a gamer than me? Because that's what Ultra means. Greater. Superior. Better. Combine that with the definition of gamer and we see common sense pointing to the mistake.

Ultra-competitor maybe. Ultra player of FPS and fighting games. But Ultra-gamer? Don't make me laugh. What, sweating and competing is the be-all and end-all of Gaming?
When last did you complete a single-player game? Or go the distance to promote games in the mainstream. How much time do you spend reading, reading, reading, absorbing and sucking up all there is to know about games, gaming news, gaming culture, game design etc? Games to movies? Gaming as art?

Gaming is my life. Not GATT...Gaming. If anything, I'm a MUCh more balanced gamer than you are. I Sweat, single-player, AND give back to the gaming community as a writer and full-time ambassador for GATT. I doh stick up in HQ whole day/night racking up frags and call myself more of a gamer than anyone. You insult me everytime you insinuate that somehow you're more of a gamer than me because you can get a few more frags than me in SOF or Quake. That's ridiculous. Divisive, elitist, pretentious and plain insulting.

Either get a new term for your elitist squad or recognise how ridiculous it sounds everytime you mention it.

I agree on both counts, but I'm not more of a gamer than you because I can beat you in some game. I'm more of a gamer than you because given the choice of ways to enjoy myself and pass my time, gaming will always be on top or very near the top of my list of priorities, whereas you might more enjoy a lime with friends in some other sort of social environment.
And even then I wouldn't make any differentiation of superiority or inferiority. I would just call you a casual gamer, and myself a hardcore gamer. Two different approaches, but not lesser or better.
