Ati's X-700 benchmarks are out

with the release of the 6600 and 6800 series card ati has been behind in the graphics race. now with the release of their mainstream card the x-700
will ati make a dent in current nvidia sale?
i am sad to say that the 6600 gt still out performs the X-700

old news , the x700 pro/XT has been out since last year october , the X700XT has been cancelled due to low yields , to be replaced by a 12 pipe X800 at the same ( 250 USD ) price .
    The x700 pro is a good solid card, giving you performance greater than that of a 9800xt for a good price, though there are no AGP models available ....
   ATIs 'X' series is starting to turn into another 'FX' , no cards available , and lack of features the competition has.... though it  is not nearly as slow as the FX was in its day.......
