I need : software to emulate a LAN!

I need software to emulate a LAN , with valid IP addresses , ports etc...  i'm trying to run WoW on a local server but  using my dialup IP just makes it crash..   i'v tried giving the 1394 connection on my mobo an IP but it won't connect.....

i mentioned in another thread an item called hamachi VPN.
it creates a virtual lan adapter, and assigns an ip address

thanks guys,  it crashes with hamachi  too... i'm starting to think its the emulator i'm using and not the   connection .

Cisco makes a pretty cool lan simulation software, one for free to those in their classes, and another for $100 US, dunno what that translates to in TT money...
