Chaos Legeon Strikes again pt 2
« on: January 08, 2005, 02:31:40 PM »
I'm back now and thanks for holding the fort sabrewolf, i'll take it from here.

hidden agenda, arrogance isn't too far from confidence hoss, and don't get it twisted computerman, i'm more than old enough. you saw me already but apparently the beating i gave you last time wasn't enough for you to understand who the bigger duelists is. We of Chaos legeon aren't being arrogant hidden, get real, you are still one of my many inspirations to becoming a good duelist, but i think that if you were in the game still i woulda surpassed you by now, you very good, but i believe that i am better, once again, nothing wrong with a lil confidence, to prove me wrong you could always link with me and chicken we'll construct and lend you a Fully updated deck of your choice for you to play me with and i'm sure i'll win. we have the cards in CL to construct any deck of your choice, you'll also get to play against sabrewolf and i believe he'll beat you too.

Yeah, anyway, we just stating facts, we win all but one tournament since Gatt's 3rd when we now start to shine, thas like about 15 or more tournaments, i've won 5 for my self alone. Prove to me that we aren't the best.

As SPK said, i know that there are people who can match me, but even he has to admit that i've overcome everyone in this game in one way or the other. Every tournament that i didn't win, i came 2nd or 3rd and the only people who ever knocked me out of any tournaments are Chicken and Sabrewolf, ask anyone even SPK knows this.

I know that there are great duelists out there like Brent, joseph, Bouya, Chris, Singh, derek and SPK and others, you know i know this SPK, but if i walk around believing that you all can beat me then you will, i know you can, but i can't walk around telling myself or people that. All of you in Arima have a different theory on my playing style, as a matter of fact everyone has one, but Honestly, i just do it the way nobody else can, like me. So does Chicken, Sabrewolf, Marcel Kajun, Rio and everyone else in our clan.

SPK you know me good enough to know that i would'nt take away credit from anyone else but don't expect me to take away from myself or my clan.

I even have a favorite duelist, and as it may surprise people, it's NEO, i like the fact that he takes his game serious. When i duel him i feel like i'm dueling in a world tournament or something, every little movement around him affects his playing game, i like to see that, it's compassion for what he does, SPK shows some of that too.

Don't get me twisted, and doh talk no crap bout arrogance, if you don't want to hear me make that comment again, come tournament and do something about it. As far as advanced tournament goes SPK, well we dueled in Arima yesterday and you saw that i can do it even without  my Chaos Emperor Dragon.  You know i can, so don't worry about me and my clan bringing our best at your tournament cause we comi9ng to do what we do best, WIN.

We refuse to put anyone else on top of us, we have extra respect for certain duelists, so we'll put them besides us, but never on top of us. Our line up for your tourny includes, Chicken, Sabrewolf, Rio, Kajun, Marcel and Myself, so you guys have your work cut out for you in this tournament too. I'm just not looking forward to seeing a big Chaos Legeon party on one table in the earlies again, you know what i mean SPK.

I still see a lack of maturity on your part :)
When you learn to use paragraphs and proper sentences then mabye I might take your seriously.
Other than that you are just a loud mouth.
Your skill is not being disputed, just the manner in which you carry about yourself....the boastfulness...
If I duel anyone now I have almost no doubt that'll I'll lose.
I'm not kenshin and cannot magically become battousai when slashed..

[edit] Seems your post magically grew paragrahs as I typed this

lol, this is less about paragraphs and sentence construction and more about gaming, good gamers and competition.

I respect that.

Chaos, you have to live and learn. For every 10 hiddenagenda's who  will shy away from your challegne and just bump gum, you will find 1 opponent that will rush in and give you one hell of a fight.

That 1 worthy rival IS WORTH IT.

Go through hard hoss.

I only wish I was good in this game to join the fray.

Bigger duelist?  Hoss, I'm over 240lbs...beat friggin that!!  :P
At the CIC traditional tourney you gave me a sound two straight thrashing in the semis!  At the Aranguez tourney you easily defeated me in a friendly.  I've never disputed this and you know I have great respect for you.   But your little lapdog Sabrewolf seems to have forgotten who knocked him out of the CIC traditional tourney!

Respect is earned!  Not only by what you achieve, but by how you achieve it!
As for being old enough...I'd sure hope so...I'd hate to think we keep losing to a little child!    Just remember, my crew have been gaming since before many of your Legionnaires were born!

hahahha @ 240lbs

The man has a point!!

but I like most the part about "not only what you achieve, but how you achieve it."

While I understand the true goal of Chaos, which is to find worthy opponents, it is without a doubt, their methods will upset and ruffle the feathers of some.

Again, I fully understand it is almost a desperation move to get a reaction from an almost apathetic gaming community. To drive the competitors off their laurels and into the action.

It would be a dream if we could find worthy opponents that would come out swinging at their best without the need for chiding and smack talk to incite rage and vengeance.

When the latter goes overboard, things can get ugly.

That's not what we want at all.

I must commend SPK, Hafeez and PapaSmurf for what they have done in this regard. Promoting events to get the gamers coming out without need for such tactics.

It is an example we would all do well to follow.

Baego, i must admit, i wasn't really much of a fan of yours at first, but i like your style. You understand why i do what i do. People never came at Chaos Legeon throwing their best when we were quite. As we've began to open our mouths and shine a lil, we go to every tournament hearing people saying that we won't win this one, and that's what we like to hear.

Hidden when you guys were champions, you were allowed to talk about your accomplishments, so why is it such a threat that we're talking about ours, does it threaten you even when you are not in the game. Get real, Chaos Legeon is the most dominant force in yu gi oh right now, ask any duelist who enters tournaments.

I'm not saying that we can't be beaten, but i'm not saying that we will be beaten. We work our a**es off at tournaments to here you say that we're ignorant for  talking about our accomplishements, get real, if it were you, you'd talk about it to. If we won, don't expect us to say that we lost, aight.

As far as your comment goes about typing in proper paragraphs and what not, you go ahead and do that cause thas the only thing in this whole thread that you can and probably will ever do that makes sense cause your comments don't, to me you're sounding a lil jealous, maybe you left the game too soon or something. Hoss, i have 9 bloody 1 in CXC and 2 Associates degrees and i'm furthering my studies in Computers right now, but unlike you i didn't have to leave the game to do it. I just wouldn't waste time to talk in proper englishe much less type it for the likes of you. In case you haven't noticed, you're the only person complaining about typing and spelling, what, you can't give a lesson in dueling or console gaming to me so you want to give me one in english, thanks, but no thanks, professor 'I can talk and write proper english and hope that it helps my points out in my posts".

Computerman, you know that i have respect for you, but as you said, not only what you achieve but how you achieve it, and you've achieved a friendly peace of respect from me not a dueling peace.

Neo has my dueling respect, SPK, Brent, Sabrewolf, Chicken, Rio,smurf and a few others have my dueling respect, because they've all given me a beating at some time or the other. You get it too, in time, but right now, I'm still waiting.

I go about gaining my respect, so i know that comment could not have been for me, I am known and respected by almost every duelists who enters tournaments. I didn't do it by just going and winning, i did it by achieving things no one else could. At the last Anime, I pulled out GATE GUARDIAN in a duel, I've pulled out Ultimate Great moth. I like Challenges, and people see me doing these things and they tell themselves, that together with him being a great duelist and strategist, he pulls off big plays no one else has. They like the fact that i don't always play to win.

Once you've won enough you realize that the game has more to accomplish besides winning, maybe thas why i win so much. Who in this forum can tell me I'm not ONE of the best. Hidden ask any of the duelist on the gatt site who knows really knows me, SPK, Chicken, Neo, Crazy and they'll tell you that i'm not boastful but confident, they'll also tell you that i can back up my mouth. Hoss, i would bet my deck, i want you to come back into this game so bad. Then i can truly silence you.

Take some time and practice home, ask anyone who knew you in your prime and if they compare you in your prime with me in mine, you will hear that i'm better than you. I can't believe you used to have that lil cheat Chris beating you and giving you trouble, after watching that duel with you and him in the finals of Gatt's 2nd, which you really lost, because when you ring of destructed the monster your life points went under 0, but no one said anything cause shris was a lil cheat, ask anyone who watched that duel, anyway, i'm sure that you alrteady know that, i thought Chris was actually good.

Ask him who is his daddy now. I've said it before and i'll say it again, no one besides Chicken and Sabrewolf has ever knocked me out of a tournament, Neo came extremely close already, props for that, but my rep still stands.

Why am i even wasting time argueing this with you, you ran off with your so called one win tournament and left the game, what was it, studies, or was it that the competition was getting too fierce for you. Just ask Chicken who is the better duelist between me and you and that'll settle it.

LOL lawd at hiddenagenda and computerman.u all think i am a child.HAHA probably i am but if u all want to talk about yugioh with me that will be a big mistake.i know u guys but u all dont really know me.my gatt name is sabrewolf but most people know me as johnathan.haha u know what that mean i am far from a child and far better than any of u will ever be in yugioh.oh and by the way hidden i know u dont have cards again since u were such a failure but i was just simply saying that if u decide to come back{lol]CHAOS LEGEON would be waiting hoss.HA
http://gatt.carigamers.com/forums/index.php?showtopic=817&st=0

I was reminding Johnny boy of the CIC tournament!  His memory seems to be as bad as yours.  He probably didn't remember me 'cause I was using D'Titan's Chaos deck, not my usual Gravekeeper's.

How many times has Sabre beaten Madman, D'Ttian, Paul Phoenix or Palladin2?!  Why don't you answer that Loony?!  You CAN'T!!
We roll with different Crews.  The only time we meet is during a tournament.  And in all the tournaments I've been in I only recall facing Sabre twice.  Even Chaotic I've only played twice.

If Sabre thinks he's better than me 'just because' of the Crew he rolls with, he's sadly mistaken!

LoonyToon if you believe that he is better than me that's fine, everyone is entitled to an opinion, even an ill informed, misguided, erroneous one!  [_[

Well Loony, if we were to use your standard,
Quote
he was able to beat balki
then according to your logic (or lack thereof) I'm better than Balki!  Of course I'm not, so your logic is obviously flawed.

This is what i'm talking about computerman, you'll never hear me say that someone is better than i am, i don't care who they are. I believe that once you believe that someone is better than you they will be and will always be better than you are. How about saying that Balki is really good, but I believe that i can beat him in a timing, or that you'll try to beat me next time or something like that. You all don't put yourselves down, you put people on top of you, and when you put them there where do you think they'll stay.

Facts are facts.  The best I've ever done in any tournament is reach the semi's, twice.

There are many duelists that I will categorically state are better than I am.  What do I mean by this?  They have devoted more time and energy into developing strategies, constructing decks and most importantly practicing!  I probably practiced (played) once or twice for the most since the Aranguez tournament.  This year isn't looking much better.  But I will try and attend as many tournaments as I can because this is one of the few games I truly enjoy playing competatively.

Practice is the key to success in any endeavour!

Chaotic is right , a true warrior ( in this case duelist) should never put themself down. Positivity is the key to success. If you don't fully think that you can overcome all obstacles then you've already lost. It works in the fighting arena and the same thing applies here. To quote one of the top 3rd Strike players in America after a tourney

" Even though I could have easily won that tournament , I didn't believe that I could. When that happened I had already lost even before I even held the stick. "

I'm not a duelist nor will I ever be , but I do understand the importance of a positive attitude. It has made me a decent competitor even with my mediocre skills.

you know i jus love to come on this forum and see all of the duelist fighting who is the best, and no offence in this one but i will say i know balki enough to talk all kinna crap with.So at all the tourneys i give him all kinna talks and support. For all the ppl who think that balki talks about his accomplishments 2 much you all should jus chill out bcuz you all don't know him and how hard it is to win 5 tourneysand if you all don't find that it is true prove him wrong and win the next tourney (SPK's tourney) and with all the respect to all the big ones like spk and others win the tourney..

I am also promoting a good friend tourney (shhhhh)

Now this is where things start to go sour.

Computerman has been nothing but respectful and accomodating in this conversation (and pretty much all threads on this forum).

The name callin and insults is going too far and will not be tolerated. Period.

Cool? cool.

Now back to de issue....there are two schools of thought that apply to our situation here.

1) Believe you are the best, the sky is the limit (chaos)

2) Be humble and participate for the good of the game (Computerman)

Two extremities no doubt, obviously 1 is going to be a winner and the other, a loser (no offense computerman!)

However, there is an attitude somewhere in the middle.

I call it an Ideal Realist. This is where I like to think my personality falls.

You mindfully consider yourself to be the best (ideal) knowing that there is an opponent out there that will pwn your mc (real)

You temper your ideal steel with reality and sheat it with positivety.

lol, real philosophy iwmc.

I think such a position is less "offensive" but it's tricky to balance.

You can end up pissin off people at both sides of the spectrum. lol

The humble types may find you are too boastful while the competitive types may find you are too humble.

no one said life was gonna be easy.

don't fret...suhuweat!!!!!!!!!!

for the 2nd time the word Legion was spelt wrong.....
the younger, dumber, immature dualists tend to be some of the best... i'v seen 8 year olds blow through chess tournaments vs 18 year olds...  a young mind grasps strategy faster and better than an older one .

Possibly, yeah.
After all, Ellis, back in his prime, was a far superior duelist to the likes of present-day and former warhorses such as Computerman, Anil (not SPK, the other Anil), Superman, SPK, and myself. He was only....8, I believe, and yet some of us old timers would ALWAYS either dread or put together some kind of formal strategy for taking the Chans down, with little or no success.

hidden, don't be so hard on Balki.
The man may appear boastful, but that's because he has sheer confidence in himself and his abilities. As the saying goes, "People are like snowflakes...no two are ever alike."
The same can be said for duelists.

Some may be quiet and reserved, and keep to themselves even when they've won. Papasmurf, Ellis Chan and Brent come to mind.
Some brag, and react as if they've won the battle of their lives. Cliff and Bouya, anyone?
And others are just a mix of the two. Take myself, and, to some extent, ChickenNBeer for example.

The main point here is, different duelists have different attitudes towards dueling. Chaotic's just happens to be a very lively, and yet somewhat braggart (no offense, Balki) approach to dueling. But when you get to know him like I have, you will see a man who takes his game VERY seriously, and has proven to himself and others that he can walk the walk as he talks the talk.

And hidden, don't put yourself down like that.
You were, after all, a GATT champion, and I'm sure if you catch up on the latest that's been going on in Yu-Gi-Oh!, that you'll be able to duel with the best of them. And maybe, even see you on the grand stage against Balki. Now that would be awesome. You know, a "Past meets Present" kind of affair.:)

Now, guys, as Baego has pointed out, let's not carry things too far. Competition is the spice of life, and it's great to see rivalries develop and a 'Clash of the Titans' scenario develops. It's the stuff that entertainment is made of. But please, try to keep the blood below boiling point, okay?
I would hate to see another thread like this go down because fists started to fly over cards.

EDIT: Oh, and that first paragraph was agreeing to the part where Trini was referring to the younger duelists developing stronger strategies than the older, not the whole 'dumber, immature' rant. Oh, and Trini, be more careful about who you're calling 'dumb' and 'immature', please.

Hoss, i have 9 bloody 1 in CXC and 2 Associates degrees and i'm furthering my studies in Computers right now, but unlike you i didn't have to leave the game to do it.

Are you trying to insinuate that I was not capable of balancing school and Yugioh?Though that may be true to an extent(though I'm not a da :P ) (and also  that I feel guiltiy devoting so much time to something that I would be laughing in in a few years when I could be doing something more constructive.) , the fact is the game has become to say the least boring.
The fact that "you are the best" has been established and you and your clan members seem to want to remind us all of it don't you?
The best duelists aren't always the ones that win tournaments or place in the top 10. The best duelists are those that respect their opponents, and are humble about their skill and victories.
In my book you will NEVER be #1 , and that will stand until I notice an attitude change. I don't like boastful people, and I shun them as collegues and brush them off as mere irratants.
My opinion may not matter to you, but well, it's my opinon :)
It's great to be #1, great to know you're the best, but sometimes KNOWING you're the best doesn't mean you have to go bragging. I've known president Gold medalists, Open scholarhip winners, and am constantly surrounded by people considdered to be top in their areas. I've never heard one of them boast. Knowing you are the best should be enough.

Wayhaz @ computerman. YOur'e seriously bigger than me oui!
*hiddenagenda reminds self never to anger computerman.

[edit after reading NEO post]-heh@ past vs present. Maybe in the 2-3 months From June the 8th I might get back into it. Borrow cards or something.(not investing money in the game at this stage, doesn't seem too profitable).
My Xbox has been ressurected!
