Yes they are both First person shooters

But

Ravenshield appeals to people who like their shooters realistic and tactical. The skills you learned in quake will be of no use to you here.

SOF2 appeals to the all around action loving crowd little to no tactics are needed in this game .Its just pick up and play and not very realistic.

Personally I prefer Ravenshield but I'm always up for a good round of SOF2.

Ravenshield = realistic fun
SOF2 = quake-ish fun

but they really are 2 different typez of games
but.... if i'm feeling for realism - Ravenshield to craw
non realistic - Quake 3 .. to hell with shitty ass SOF2

Im not really an FPS sort of guy but ive been fond of ravenshield and i Sof2 just doesnt appeal to me

I can't believe this is even an issue...
SoF2 is for ppl with no talent but still want to run around and kill men
Ravenshield is for men of talent, men that can appreciate realistic scenarios and weapons

Okay here's what, the guy asked a simple question, which is better. For one thing obviously your answer is gonna be based on your preferance but jeez don't bash the game because of it's downfalls. Soldier of Fortune by heart is known for it's very bloody effects in terms of killing. Saying SOF2 is a game for people with no talent is out of the question. Certain members ARE better than others, clan DC for example. Obviously their skill level is pretty high up in the game because they are always practicing and playing it. You'll become good at anything you practice so if it's a game of no talent then why don't some of you just try to take them down running in guns-a-blazing anytime you feel like.

As for my pick out of the two I'd choose Ravenshield because I love Tom Clancy's games and have been playing rainbow six since part 1 on an old 8 mb video card back in the day. I love the realism and the point that it taxes my brain a bit more than Soldier of Fortune 2 does. In Ravenshield you can't really go in guns-a-blazing but such can be done in SOF2. All based on your preference.

raven shield gives yu that nice paranoia when yuh spinin rong corners
gets the heart racin, sof2 doesnt make yu really feeell the game.

the enjoyment only comes when yu win de whole thign or when something funny happens where as the enjoyment from raven comes from each heart pounding decision.

They are both good games but in all seriousness
CAN WE PLEASE KILL THE VERMIN THAT IS SOF2. the game is just plain brainless shooting. I play if it is the only thing going but I prefer Raven Sheild.
