6600GT matches the 6800 in most benches , and can beat it when overclocked ,  i'm planning to get myself one for christmas, or early january,  whenever the price drops to around MSRP of 200 US .

9800 pro no longer exists unfortunately , you just have the half assed  128bit versions and a teeeeeeny amount of  stock still available for insane prices on backwater sites and stores .

Besides , the 6600GT occasionally DOUBLES the speed of a 9800xt/5950 @ high res, with only 128mb of memory . Its the new TI4200 ! I recommend everyone with less than a 9600 pro to get one !

its soooo prettttyyyy. .....

they are making 800 watt PSUs now , but i'm sure 2 generic 450 watts will be cheaper  , just get a nice big server chassis , and drill some holes .

Consumer 950w PSU is current record.

2 generic 450w = twice as much crap as one generic 450w.

Quantity of watts is second of importance to quality of power especially when using hardware that pushes so much...

That is true synth, however you can get some very decent brand name PSU's for decent prices. I have a thermaltake silent purepower 480W and it costs like 61US. Thats not that much if you can afford a setup like that!!! heck if you can afford that kinda setup, dual 550W Antec Tru550 or TRU480's their about 100US a pop but heck, u can afford two Nv1dia 680Ultras u can damn well afford the power to push it!!! lol. POwer is nothign without control right?

Well unforgiven I suggest u take a loan or few and buy them up cause the 9800XT is to replace the mid-range for @TI to answer Nvid1as 6600GT as Trini said. They are phasing out the 9800Pro 256-bit memory INTERFACE (note not 256MB of memory) Just in case u misread that or something.

Dude, save the money for how. As it is that board does not go into mass distribution till Q1 of next year (or so I read this morning) and secondly wait for prices of cards and CPU's to drop with the onset of dual core processors and the NV50+ whatever they want to call it.... or even @TI's SLI setup.
