During some GuildWars sweatage this weekend, I experienced first hand in an MMORPG how much more kick ass it was to have a baddest level 16 Crixxtachi raining fire and brimstone on the enemy than it was to just be running through quests with john doe gamer. Talking a pack of arse de whole time. Nuff comedy iwmc. Dialog that an RPG lore writer would kill for. lol

To be swinging axe and hammer, toe to toe with my son online against a common foe. Resurrecting your fallen comrade when he dies and he is precisely that, your fallen comrade. Not just some anonymous 14 year punk from the philipines whose hometown you could not spell, let alone his name (no offense intended)

Camaraderie added tons to that MMORPG experience (or CORPG as Guild Wars chooses to call themselves) I am sure the lineage people here will agree.

but also I think the same is true in the GL sweat world. Maybe even moreso. It is the very essence upon which clans are based. True comrades in life, love and sweatage!

Now this is the truth according to saint David, it just isn't the same without the camraderie, i mean i fell outta mih chair on a sat night sweat when hobbz start to scream about the sten and i Quote "this is boooolsheet man, it's shoooting forking Rubber booolets i tell u" i mean it's just that much more fun when u have a great environment to play in, it raises the gaming experience to a whole new level

lol at rubber bullets...but it just not the same without your brethren there when u hit him a nice 30 hit combo or on a team that just raping/owning like "nothing in our way" until u get shot & your partner tries 2 take revenge before u respawn, food, drink, bull$h*t yalk all makes the sweat not just the game...

The extent of my gaming with comrades was in my LAN back in university (I say that as if its soo long ago). And then that was not many ppl, thus I have never played a MMORG or MMORPG so I can't say I know what u are talking about. I have been a 10man free for all UT2004 and the like, and clearly that was more fun free for all. less its CTF but then I find those a bit frustrating when the teams aren't balanced properly and u get a weaker teams and catch ur @$$ to best the next team. So really depends on the game, FPS single all the way less its CTF if its RTS like craft I prefer small teams I doh know anyting other than that...

Inmy opinion, i look foward meetin new ppl  at a sweat andn befriending them thann jus having my  brethren  alone  to sweat with

the  more ppl at a sweat, the better. I  mean, its more of a social event obviously, so u can finally see the guy who owns u like a virgin on her wedding might

it all depends  on ur personality, extrovert  or introvert.  Long ago, sweat  at SnS us to turn out to be a lime with  IYMC and  the rest. Arch, death, dfectus, Crazy samurai, clawz- jsut to name a  few...AND i do mean few

and  i dont think i  wasted mym $30 onthose sweats, even  tho we  could have limed somewhere  else for free, itwas  still worth it.

strangers does talk to much stupidness when they win...
When U sweat with Frens is tru happiness....
when they kill u in a deathmatch u does be happy

But overall i rather sweat with comrades than strangers

i agree a good death match with friends is always betetr thatn with strangers
especially when ut remain with two men dat cah play de game on opposit side it does be real fun to wathc
but with strangers i does be more of  a nuicance

I like the bit about meeting new people at sweat.

Think about the padners you had at Primary school. How many of them you still tight with now?? Does lime with?

If you're like me, the answer is most likely one or two.

Point is, over the years you aren't gonna be close padners with the same people for any number of reasons. Death, migration, marriage, going to different schools, you name it.

If camaraderie is important to you then it becomes critical that you keep expanding the list of padners you could sweat with, else in a few years, you will end up gaming with a bunch of strangers as the old school people spread out in life.

Meeting new people is always good, it's a way to expand your friend base and your horizions, but look at the sweat on wed night, Baego you know what i mean, somehow it's more fun when you're playing with friends

oh yea i remember that night Hobbez had the whole place in an uproar of laughter..
