After much anticipation wcg, which means world cyber games, for warcraft 3 the frozen throne began... the preliminary round was online based and ran the same way that the normal battle.net wc ladders run, i myself took part in the preliminary round, and ranked in the top 150, despite doing so well ,imo, i didnt qualify because only the top 32 advanced.
Earlier this week(yesterday) the final round began, but this was LAN based as to eliminate LAG,MAPHACKS and DISCONNECTS( us trinis know much about lag and disconnects T_T).. anyways those expected 2 do well i nthis tourney were 4k.Grubby,MaDFRoG,Zacard,Spirit_Moon,Insomnia..
despite expecting them 2 do well some of these men were upset
madfrog lost 2 cara, spirit_moon lost to zacard, insomnia lost to shortround
Saturday @ 5 it began..... The semi-finals..... the match-ups for this were 4k.Grubby vs Shortround and Zacard vs TOD
Grubby getting the better of shortround and zarcard getting the better of TOD
AND DEN IT BEGAN....Earlier today the finals began
GRUBBY VS ZACARD( two orc men @ that, mc orcs steups)
all of these 3 games were basically MIRROR MATCHES, and when i say mirror i mean everything was basically exact
Zacard got the better of grubby in game one due to a fast exapnd IMO, this game was on lost temple
in Game 2, grubby pwned zacard quite easily (gnoll wood)
and den Game 3(turtle rock), this had to be the most intensse game ive witnessed for a while, grubby and zacard both went Farsee 1st and they both fast teched and got late barracks...
creep jacking took place in the earlies by zacard.Both player teched and went Shadow hunter 2nd, followed by mass grunts/raiders, both got a fair share of kodo beasts...
There was a tower attempt on grubby's base but this was held off by grubbys army...
this game couldve gone either way, but grubby had a slight advantage, cause he had an expand up on the top right of the map.......
but what really won this game for Grubby was the micro... the game ended and grubby took home the gold for his country , Netherlands, and also for his clan 4k which means 4kings
