MICROSOFT SUPREMO Bill Gates has astounded IT hacks by telling them that he has never had a computer virus. (yeah right)

We assume that he doesn't open his own emails, or is not actually connected to the Internet, but Bill told eWeek that he had been hit by adware and malware from time to time.

Bill told them that Vole was planning to shell out "hundreds of millions" of dollars to tackle the problem of spyware and malware. Of course who is one of the biggest distributors of spyware? Come on down William Gates.

Windows XP, or possibly more exactly Internet Explorer has shipped with Alexa which some consider to be spyware. It is the first spyware that any decent checker will find and contains spyware-like agents.

It is a MS Internet Explorer key that points to a MS DLL and MS HTML file. This redirects to a page, and that page redirects to the Alexa web site and gives information about your web surfing for statistics purposes to fuel the Alexa ranking system.

It is not certain what Amazon.com which runs Alexa does with this data , if anything, and the Vole does not tell you that it is included in the software. If Bill was serious about killing spyware this should be the first thing to cull from Windows and it would cost him nothing

A few friends and I always wondered if he even used a machine with his own OS so it might very well be true that he has never gotten a virus... maybe he uses UNIX on some kinda super cluster of G5's or SPARC IV+, so maybe he has never gotten one... or maybe he's refferig to STD's or something, I rem the article but I doh rem if it was computer virus they said or didn't specify lol

he may not have ever gotten a virus
he could be usin a g5
not many viruses for os x

No matter what he using i think he get infected. Anything that could be downloaded can be uploaded. And i sure....real sure.....virus(es) get upload on he pc.

normal virus only infect intel x86 aricteture . have a different system to that virus that can hurt u drop real fast down from hundread of million to hundreads. so if he using cluster of cray supercomputer 8 way cpus man ain't going to get virus to infect he system easily
