Book slut reporting, mistress!

A whole lot of favorite authors.

Lois McMasters Bujold.  (the Chalion series and the Vorkosigan saga)

David Drake and David Weber.

Peter David.

Robert Aspirin (Myth series and Phule series)

Alfred Bester. (the Stars my Destination)

Terry Pratchett (most everything in the DiscWorld)

Neal Gaiman.

Nalo Hopkinson ( a mix of SF and West Indian-influenced fantasy.  Very heavy on the fantasy part)

Isaac Asimov

There are authors I hate too, but that's another list.

anne rice's entire vampire chronicles ownz me,

iam totally head over heals for some of stephen king's short stories

but tottally dedicated to his saga called the dark tower .yum yum

koontz is cool.

grisham is ah boss

christopher pike novels have a strange hold on me because they usually end with the lead characters dying (usually teens to) and yu become really attached

such as in the last vampire and others.

Grisham?

Yuk.

He's the first name on the "books I hate" thread.  Too much southern "good 'ol boy" down-home Mississippi racism (which I STRONGLY suspect reflects the viewpoint of the man himself)

If you like Tolkien and you enjoyed the Lord of the Rings (the books, not just the movies) then you should read Terry Brooks and the Shannara series starting with Sword of Shannara.  When you done there read Tad Williams and his series called Memory, Sorrow and Thorn starting with The Dragonbone Chair.  Man, don't think about it, just go get them!!
